Abstract: Location based video synchronizer gives a solution to play Video recorded at a particular date and time (DTI) and video recorded at another date and time (DT2) parallel of a linear feature on single platform. On the platform both the videos run parallel so that one can compare both (before and after) videos of a same linear feature.

Background of invention with regard to the drawback associated with known art:
Indian government has initiated process of monitoring work in progress in the form of video.
The work of video recording is carried out before work is started, during work in progress and
after work is completed. These videos are helpful for administration to validate its norms
established by government. Major problem faced by administration is to correspond places at
location in the video for verification/validation of work. Presently manual methods are used for
such correspondence of locations/targets in the video using time complex job of alignment of
video frames manually.
Object of invention:
To synchronize videos captured with a device having variable speed of movement during their
recording at different date and time of same linear feature such that same object will appear in
all videos at same interval of time.
Statement of invention:
Developed system ‘Location based video synchronizer’, synchronizes multiple videos together
of same linear feature on a single platform automatically without any manual alignment work.
Summary of invention:
Location based video synchronizer synchronizes temporal video data of a linear feature. Video
data may be captured with a device having variable speed of movement. After synchronization
when temporal videos are played in parallel on single platform an object on linear feature will
appear simultaneously in all videos so that one can notices the modification done over the
linear feature
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION:
Indian government has started to monitor progress of the work in the form of video. The video
captured of linear feature before work is started, work in progress and after work is completed.
These captured videos help government to verify/validate norms or standards.
At present manual methods are used for such correspondence of locations/targets in the video
using time complex job of alignment of video frames manually, which is very time consuming
and tedious task.
An idea strike in my mind to align temporal videos automatically. The speed of objects inside the video can be altered by inserting new frames or by removing selected frames. The process of
synchronization initializes by matching first frame of base video with a frame of video to be
synchronized. If no matches found of first then a fake frame will be send to output. In case of
multiple frames are matched only one will be considered rest will be rejected. After processing
first frame consider second frame and repeat the process applied to first frame and so on. Process
of frame matching matches geographic location of objects inside the frame. The geographic
location of objects are independent from speed of camera carriage and hence the sequence of
frames so obtained will be synchronized and thus the video also.
Claims:
I. I claim for the method of synchronizing temporal video data of unmatched physical
movement speed of recording device i.e. speed of camera caniage (vehicle).
2. With respect to claim l, I claim for a base video which will act as a physical speed reference
for all other temporal videos.
3. Refer to claim 1, I further claim for insertion or removal of frame from a video for the
pwpose of synchronization. Where insertion of new frames slow down the speed of
movement of camera carriage. While removal of existing frames will speed up movement of
camera cmiage.
