A method and system for dynamically varying frequency response of a Super Regenerative Receiver (SRR) using a generated quench waveform enabling the SRR to efficiently search an optimal frequency band for data communication is disclosed. The optimal frequency band is determined by scanning plurality of groups within the operating Band Width (BW) after calibrating the SRR for wide frequency response. Each frequency band within selected groups is then scanned by calibrating the SRR for narrow frequency response. The SRR then selects one of the scanned frequency band that provides highest received signal strength and maximum Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio (SINR).The dynamic control over the frequency response of the SRR is achieved by varying various parameters of the generated quench waveform. The method provides dynamic variation in sensitivity pulse width of the generated quench waveform enabling accurate determination of peak of incoming pulse for pulse synchronization.FIG. 2
