BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

The current area of research lies in the field of novel topical delivery systems with bioactivities. The skin is considered as the largest organ in the body. It plays the role of an intermediator between the outside environment of the body and underlying cell tissues. The skin has got many actively metabolizing cells which constantly absorb nutrients and facilitate their transport to the underlying tissues and organs in the body. But in case of many drugs, the permeability through skin is very low. Natural products with permeability enhancing properties are very low. The fact sheet focuses on developing a unique formulation of tetra hydro derivative of piperine and piperic acid. Both of them poses high permeability increasing properties, thereby increasing their use in cosmetic fields.

2. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:

Black pepper piper nigrum is a flowering vine in the piperacea family which is usually dried and used as spice and seasoning. The raw material contains both volatile and non volatile compounds. The medicinal properties of pepper can be attributed to the presence of non volatile fraction piperine and its structural analogues viz tetra hydro piperine and piperic acid. Tetra hydro piperine is an aryl pentanamide. Tetrahydro piperine poses many pharmacological properties.THP poses the property of enhancing the bioavailability of active molecules and increases topical permeation of active constituents. Similarly Piperic acid is an important structural analogue and it is an intermediate compound for many other structural derivatives of piperine. There are different proposed mechanisms permeability of drugs. The unique formulation includes a combination of natural bioenhancer tetra hydro piperine and permeability enhancer piperic acid. Our Novel process of encapsulation technology helps to trap the natural extract without losing the mechanism of action.

3. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
The novel encapsulation technology of tetra hydro piperine and piperic acid in a bio available matrix helps to increase the efficacy of the drug. The structure of piperic acid is depicted below:
