A Novel Isolation Method Of Ptero Stilbene From Ptero Carpus Marsupium

Abstract: Medicinal plants have been used as an exemplary source for centuries as an alternative remedy for treating human diseases because they contain numerous active constituents of therapeutic value. There are many naturally derived phytochemicals with good anti oxidant property. The isolates of ptero carpus species possess high anti oxidant property. The anti oxidant property of ptero carpus can be attributed due to the presence of Ptero stilbene content. Pterostilbene . (trans-3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxystilbene) is a natural dietary compound and the primary antioxidant component of Pterocarpus. Our present invention relates developing a naturally derived anti oxidant with high bio availability.

Specification

1. FIELD OF INVENTION
A NOVEL ISOLATION METHOD OF PTERO STILBENE FROM PTERO CARPUS MARSUPIUM
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Reactive oxygen species (ROS), as well as reactive nitrogen species (RNS), are products of normal cellular metabolism and they are well recognized for playing a dual role as both deleterious and beneficial species, since they can be either harmful or beneficial to living systems Antioxidant supplements or foods rich in medicinal plants may be used to help the human body in reducing oxidative damage by free radicals and active oxygen. The wood extract of Ptero carpus marsupium contains many valuable phytochemicals . Ptero stilbene is one of such active compound in the extract. It is a naturally derived anti oxidant with enhanced bio availability. Our present invention relates developing a product with highest purity.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Pterostilbene (trans-3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxystilbene) is a natural dietary compound and the primary antioxidant component of Pterocarpus. It has increased bioavailability in comparison to other stilbene compounds, which may enhance its dietary benefit and possibly contribute to a valuable clinical effect. Multiple studies have demonstrated the antioxidant activity of pterostilbene in both in vitro and in vivo models illustrating both preventative and therapeutic benefits. The antioxidant activity of pterostilbene has been implicated in anticarcinogenesis, modulation of neurological disease, anti-inflammation, attenuation of vascular disease, and amelioration of diabetes. Pterostilbene is structurally similar to reservatrol, a compound found in red wine that has comparable antioxidant, anti¬inflammatory, and anti carcinogenic properties; however, pterostilbene exhibits increased bioavailability due to the presence of two methoxy groups which cause it to exhibit increased lipophilic and oral absorption. Pterostilbene reduces oxidative stress (OS) and production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), such as hydrogen peroxide (H202) and superoxide anion , which are implicated in the initiation and pathogenesis of several disease processes. The antioxidant activity of pterostilbene may play an important role in the cardio protective effects observed in supplementation studies. Pterostilbene has demonstrated numerous protective benefits against atherosclerosis through regulation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) and vascular endothelial cells. The present invention relates the isolation of ptero stilbene with increased bio availability.

3. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Our novel extraction and crystallization methodology enables to achieve the
compound with highest purity. The process of which is represented below:
