A System And Process For Synthesizing Oil Based Liposomal Gel For Vitiligo And Its Composition Thereof

Abstract

The present invention generally relates to a system for synthesizing oil-based liposomal gel for vitiligo comprises a round bottom flask for dissolving 10-18 wt% of cholesterol (CHOL) and 60-100 wt% of phospholipids (PHOS) in a mixture of 2-10 wt% chloroform and 1-5 wt% methanol; a rotary evaporator for rotating the mixture of cholesterol, phospholipids, chloroform, and methanol for obtaining a thin lipid film above the lipid transition temperature; a vacuum chamber for eliminating all traces of organic solvent upon exposing the thin lipid film under a vacuum overnight thereby hydrating the lipid film with 20 mL phosphate buffer solution by rotation for 1 hour at 60 rpm at room temperature (RT); a vortex shaker for shaking the lipid film for a minute to break-up the suspension; and a probe sonicator for sonicating the suspension for 35 minutes at 4°C to achieve desired vesicle size.
