TITLE OF THE INVENTION
A TRANSMITTING MECHANISM OF A COMBINE
APPLICANT(S)

PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

Technical Field
The invention relates to a transmitting mechanism of a combine, particularly
a full feed combine.
Background
In a full feed combine, straws are cut by a harvest apparatus and the harvested straws are transmitted via a feeding apparatus into a separator for threshing; the mixture obtained after threshing are sieved via a cleaning apparatus, which results in unadulterated grain. Among the combine, various apparatuses are powered by engines and driven by respective various transmitting mechanisms.
Among existing full feed combines, typically,.power is transmitted from the engine to the shaft of the blower of the cleaning apparatus to drive the blower. The power is then transmitted from the blower shaft to the driving shafts of the harvesting apparatus and the feeding apparatus, the rotating shaft of the rotor of the separator and the driving shafts of respective augers. In all kinds of transmission, there is no an individual intermedial shaft to receive the power from the engine and transfer the power to the operating apparatuses respectively; rather, it is the blower shaft that is used to perform the transmissions.
Since the blower shaft serves as a working component and at the same time is used for power input of other apparatuses, which results in the great working load of the blower shaft. Besides, as blower shaft has a high rotating speed, it is required for the power transmission of the entire machine to possess a high precision of fitness and a high strength.
In existing full feed combine, the power transmission is usually disposed at the both sides of the combine, and correspondingly occupies a relative large space and increases the manufacture and maintenance cost.

Summary of the Invention

Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numbers represent like components in different views.

Detailed Description of the drawings
Throughout the following description, the "longitudinal direction" corresponds to the traveling direction of the combine, and "transverse direction" is perpendicular to the "longitudinal direction" and along the left-right direction of the combine, wherein "left" directs to the left-hand direction of the traveling direction of the combine and "right" directs to the right-hand direction.
Fig. 1 diagrammatically shows an embodiment of the full feed combine according to the invention. The combine includes a harvesting apparatus 100, a feeding apparatus 200, a separator 300, a cleaning apparatus 400, a grain auger 500 and tailing auger 600 (see Fig. 7).
As shown in Fig. 2, the harvesting apparatus 100 mainly comprises a raking reel 1, a harvesting platform 2 and a spiral conveyer 3. The raking reel 1 reels in the straws into the cutting platform 2 for harvesting, and the harvested straws are conveyed by the spiral conveyer 3 to the feeding

apparatus 200. The feeding apparatus 200 are for example in the form of the belt conveyer or the chain conveyer.
The feeding apparatus 200 conveys the harvested straws into the separator 300 (see Fig. 3) for threshing. In one embodiment, the separator 300 may be in form of a lengthwise axial separator, that is, the rotary axis of the rotor 4 is arranged along the longitudinal direction of the combine (i.e. the traveling direction of the combine).
The threshed mixture of the grain tailings enters into the cleaning apparatus 400 (see Fig. 4) provided below the separator 300. In the cleaning apparatus 400, after sieving by a blower 5 and a sieve 6, the relatively big trash straws are blown away and the grain enter into the grain auger 500 provided below the cleaning apparatus 400. The tailings such as the grain with husks then enter into the tailing auger 600 and further threshed therein and are conveyed to the cleaning apparatus 400, or these tailings are directly conveyed to the separator 300 by the tailing auger 600 for threshing. Finally, the unadulterated grain is conveyed to the barn 7 (see Fig. 5).
Fig. 5 illustrates the right side of one embodiment of the full feed combine according to the invention. The power is transmitted from the output shaft 8 of the engine to the intermedial shaft 9 which is transversely arranged. The transmission may be performed via belt transmission or chain transmission. Though not shown, a clutch apparatus may be provided between the output shaft 8 of the engine and the intermedial shaft 9 to control the transmission of the power or not. The intermedial shaft 9 is transversely provided at the front of a frame 10 and runs from the right side to the left side of the frame.
Referring to Fig. 6, a left side of one embodiment of the full feed combine according to the invention is shown. The power is transmitted from the intermedial shaft 9 to the driving shaft 11 of the separator 300 which is

transversely arranged. The transmission may be in form of the belt transmission or the chain transmission. The separator 300 may be provided with a rotary motion converter (not shown) to convert the rotary motion around a transverse axis of the driving shaft 11 to a rotary motion around a longitudinal axis of the rotor. The rotary motion converter may be in form of an umbrella gear transmission for example.
The power may also be transmitted from the intermedial shaft 9 to the blower shaft 12 and the grain auger shaft 13. As shown in Fig. 6, the power may be transmitted to the blower shaft 12 and the grain auger shaft 13 by belt transmission or chain transmission. And the power may be transmitted to the blower shaft 12 and the grain auger shaft 13 by a single set of belt or chain transmission.
The power may also be transmitted from the grain auger shaft 13 to the eccentric driving wheel 14 of the cleaning apparatus 400, for example by means of belt or chain transmission, to drive the sieve 6 in reciprocating motion. The power may also be transmitted from the grain auger shaft 13 to the tailing auger shaft 15, for example by means of belt or chain transmission.
In the full feed combine according to the invention, power is transmitted from the engine to a single intermedial shaft 9, and then transmitted from the intermedial shaft 9 to the driving shaft 11 of the separator 300, the blower shaft 12 and the grain auger shaft 13. The intermedial shaft 9 is a transmission shaft individually arranged which receives power from the engine and transmits the power to respective operating parts. And the intermedial shaft per se does not directly serve as a operating part of the blower, the separator, the cleaning apparatus, the grain auger and the tailing auger. Due to the intermedial shaft 9 individually arranged, the loads to other shafts are reduced and the stability of respective components is improved.

As shown in Figs. 1 and 6, the transmissions of power from the intermedial shaft 9 to the respective operating parts are performed by the belt or chain transmission provided at the left side of the combine. Providing these transmissions at one side helps to make the whole machine more compact and make the provision of the grain tank etc. at the other side more easily.
Fig. 7 shows the grain auger 500 and tailing auger 600 of the full feed combine according to the invention. These augers each are provided with a transverse transmission portion to transmit the conveyed grain to one side of the grain tank. Lifting portions are also provided to transmit the grain upward into the grain tank or other devices. Tailing auger 600 may secondarily thresh the tailings by a secondary separator (or called "re-separator") 16.
Referring to Fig. 1 again, a moving apparatus 700 is provided in the full feed combine according to the invention to bear the respective operating parts for moving. The moving apparatus is a pedrail apparatus, for example.
