Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an inventory management and order placing system (100) for a refrigerator comprising an image acquisition unit, one or more sensors (112), a communication terminal (114) and a processing unit (104) configured in a housing (102). The image acquisition unit (110) capture images of objects and one or more input parameters. The processing unit (104) is communicatively coupled to the image acquisition unit, the one or more sensors (112) and the communication terminal (114). The one or more sensors (112) senses the objects in the refrigerator. The processing unit (104) detects and identifies the images of objects and the one or more input parameters to generate and store a plurality of product data. A display unit (108) is configured to display the plurality of product data. The processing unit (104) adds product data to one or more electronic shopping carts after a threshold period of time.
