Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward a method for coordinating energy management and frequency control in multiple sources and loads. The system consists of four buildings, referred to as a separate four microgrid (MG), wherein each MG consists of solar, wind, fuel cell and storage systems which are connected to common loads through a common point of contact, a control unit and at least one energy management module. The invented Coordination method is utilized to manage and control the power exchange between the four microgrids by operating the respective microgrids’ switchgear mechanism to export/import power to/from adjacent microgrids or the utility grid. The Coordination method includes load demand response management wherein the excess power in any MG is routed when and where required acting as the first layer of coordination and later coordination involves absorbing the deficient power from the main grid.FIG1
