Abstract
ABSTRACTProcess of preparing banana fibre reinforced nonwoven composite bio box comprises punched nonwoven composite material having breaking force in the range from 2.5 to 6.35 MPa accordance with ASTM D 638 and Flexural Modulus from 18.9 to 57.8 MPa accordance with ASTM D 790. The said bio box uses starch-based binder with hot compression molding technique. The said bio box extends the shelf life of the fruits and vegetables. It delays or postpone the ripening, deterioration and spoilages of fruits and vegetables.
