Abstract: A BILIARY ENDOSCOPE The present invention is related to the biliary endoscope 200. The biliary endoscope comprises a catheter 202, an articulation mechanism, an 5 electrocautery tip 204, a biliary stent 206 and a deployer 304. The catheter 202 comprises a middle catheter tube 208 and a braided outer catheter 210. The articulation mechanism is configured to articulate a distal end 205 of the catheter 202. The electrocautery tip 204 is disposed at the distal end 205 of the catheter 202. The electrocautery tip 204 10 comprises a ceramic part and a conductive metal part. The conductive metal part is configured for tissue cutting, heating, and cauterization. The biliary stent 206 is disposed in a stent containment cavity provided between the braided outer catheter 210 and the middle catheter tube 208. The deployer 304 is configured to dislocate a biliary stent from the 15 catheter 202.
We Claim:
1. A biliary endoscope (200), wherein the biliary endoscope (200)
comprises:
5 a sheath handle (222);
a catheter (202), wherein the catheter (202) comprises a
middle catheter tube (208) and a braided outer catheter
(210), wherein a proximal end (203) of the catheter (202)
is coupled with the sheath handle (222);
10 an articulation mechanism, wherein the articulation
mechanism is configured to articulate a distal end (205)
of the catheter (202), wherein the articulation mechanism
comprises:
an articulation handle (212); and
15 a guidewire (302), wherein the guidewire (302)
is coupled to the articulation handle (212) and
extended along length of the catheter (202);
an electrocautery tip (204), wherein the electrocautery tip
(204) is disposed at the distal end (205) of the catheter
20 (202);
a biliary stent (206), wherein the biliary stent (206) is
disposed in a stent containment cavity provided between
the braided outer catheter (210) and the middle catheter
tube (208); and
25 a deployer (304), wherein the deployer (304) is
configured to dislocate a biliary stent (206) from the
catheter (202), wherein the deployer (304) is coupled with
a pusher tube (214), wherein the pusher tube (214) is
actuated with the help of a pusher handle (216).
