METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MATCH MAKING
Field of the Invention:
The present invention generally relates to a method and a system for match making, and, more particularly, to a method and system for matrimonial match making.
Background of the Invention:
In the present world we witness various online match making portals. Such portals provide match making services for dating and matrimonial purposes for their registered members. These portals matches a user's details to other already registered users and provide a possible match. These online match making portals provide a common interface via internet to those people who are searching for partner for dating or marriage purposes.
Presendy available match making portals require a user who wishes to use such portals to prepare his/her profile online by providing his/her personal details such as name, age, gender, height, weight, caste, religion, professional details, address, hobbies and the like. Also, such match making portals requires the user to provide characteristics they wish to have in their partner. Based on the details provided by a user, the matching making portal searches for possible matches available among their registered users. The results provided are based on the desired characteristics of the partner such as religion, caste, height, weight, income, hobbies, profession and the like. The user can interact with the possible matches provided by the portal using online chat, email and the like and take the interaction forward. Further, some of the match making portals provide means for communicating with the possible partners such as video chats, sharing of contact information and the like.
Till date the science of matching is limited to independently providing a match based on physical and social attributes or a match based on astrology through date time and place of birth.
Till date no one has been able to provide a matching engine which could give a combined matching score based on astrology as well as physical and socio economic parameters.

However, such portals do not use astrological data for match making which is the traditional way of performing match making in India. Ancient astrology has provided over the years a way of checking out compatibility of two persons based on the position of stars at the time of birth of the persons in consideration. Astrology would combine the date of birth, time of birth and place of birth, of the couple to determine the compatibility of a potential couple. This science while being very important to believers is not used by any available match making portal. Presently available match making portals enable a couple to decide on the basis of physical parameters and social standing and then over the time couple themselves determine whether they are compatible with each other.
Accordingly, there persists a need for a match making portal that enable a user to search for a possible match based on the his/her preferences and astrological calculations.
Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to obviate the above and other disadvantages from existing art and to provide a method and a system for match making using user preferences and astrological data.
It is further an object of the present invention to provide a method and a system for match making that provides a user most appropriate matches for his/her requirements in an easier and efficient manner.
Summary of the Invention:
In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, a method is provided
that is implemented in a computing device for providing percentage compatibility for
matrimonial and dating purposes. The method comprising receiving profile attributes of a
user by the computing device, receiving astrological data of the user by the
computing device, receiving preference profile attributes from the user by the computing device, user visits the profile for which he/she intends to calculate score, user clicks the "Match Tech" score button for generating score, computing device generates a first score by comparing the profile attributes of the user and the selected user, computing device generates a second score based on the astrological calculations of astrological data of the user and the selected user, computing device generates a third score based on the user

behavior of the user and the selected user, computing device generates the aggregated compatibility score based on the first, second and third computed score, providing the said compatibility score as percentage compatibility to the user.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the list of results provided to the user by the computing device are of opposite gender.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the steps of receiving the profile attributes and astrological data is carried out as a registration step by the computing device.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the profile attributes comprises physical and socio - economical parameters of the user.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the astrological data comprises date of birth, time of birth and place of birth of the user.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the compatibility score is generated by the computing device by adding the first score, second score and third score.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the percentage compatibility is generated by the computing device by using the compatibility score and an ideal compatibility score.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the ideal compatibility score us generated by the computing device based on ideal conditions.
In an embodiment of the present invention, a computing system provides percentage compatibility for matrimonial and dating purposes. The system comprising an inputting means for receiving profile attributes, astrological data, preference profile attributes of a user and for enabling the user to select, a processing means for providing a list of results to the user based on the comparison of preference profile attributes with the profile attributes of the already registered users and for generating first, second, third and compatibility score for the user and a selected user and an output means for providing the user percentage compatibility of the user and the selected user.

In yet another embodiment of the present invention, wherein the inputting means is keyboard.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the processing means is a micro-processor.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the outputting means is a display unit.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the inputting means is a touch screen.

IV. Description of the Invention:
The best mode for carrying out the invention is presented in terms of the embodiment(s), herein depicted in FIG. 1. The embodiments described herein detail for illustrative purposes and are subject to many variations. It is understood that various omissions and substitutions of equivalents are contemplated as circumstances may suggest or render expedient, but are intended to cover the application or implementation without departing from the spirit or scope of the present invention.
The terms "a" and "an" herein do not denote a limitation of quantity, but rather denote the presence of at least one of the referenced item.

The present invention provides a method and system for match making for matrimonial and dating purposes. The present invention enables a user to search for possible match based on his / her preferences for a partner such as gender, income, language, caste, location, education, height, income, age and the like. Also, the present invention enables the user to search for possible match based on astrological compatibility. The user is required to create his / her profile by providing their details such as name, gender, age, address, contact details, hobbies, education, income, profession, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, caste, religion and the like. The user may also required to provide preferences for possible match. On user request, the system for match making carry out a search based on the specified preferences for possible match using a method for match making. The system also consider astrological data for match making such as date of birth, place of birth and the like. The system for match making using the method for match making will provide the user the details of possible matches. The system for match making may provide compatibility with the search results in terms of percentage. The user may proceed by communicating with one or more individuals which have come out as search results and the user finds them appropriate for himself / herself. It is envisioned that the present invention may be easily serve any number of users.
FIG. 1 illustrates a block diagram of a system for match making 100 (hereinafter referred to as system 100), in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The system 100 includes a server 102. The server 102 may be remotely located. The server 102 is electronically connected to a database 106. The database 106 stores the data of the users. The server 102 is connected to internet. A user 108 may access the server 102 via a computer terminal 104 which is connected to internet. The user 108 may create his / her account at the server 102 and provide their details such as name, gender, age, address, email, contact number, caste, religion, education, profession, hobbies and the like. Also, the user 108 may enter his /her date of birth, place of birth, time of birth and the like for astrological calculations. The user may also provide his / her preferences for the possible match such as age, height, caste, religion, weight, location, education, color complexion, hobbies and the like. Upon providing the required data to the server 102. The server 102 stores the said details into the database 106. Upon creating the account at server 102 and providing the required details at the server 102, the user 108 may search for possible match. In an embodiment of the present invention, the server 102 will provide the user 108 possible match results based on the preferences for physical parameters such as location, education,

height, weight, color complexion, hobbies and the like. The user 108 may thereafter request server 102 to check his / her compatibility with the one or more results provided by the server based on physical and astrological data . The server 102 upon receiving such request from the user 108 will check the astrological compatibility of the user 108 with the selected possible match and provide the user 108 a combined score which reflects compatibility of the user 108 with selected possible match considering both the physical parameters and astrological data. In an embodiment of the present invention, the said astrological compatibility is provided as percentage compatibility and is represented graphically. Further, in another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the server 102 upon receiving a possible match search request from the user 108 provides the user 108 a percentage compatibility (represented graphically) using a method which consider both the user preferences and astrological compatibility. The search results which are most compatible based on physical parameters as well as astrological compatibility will be provided to user 108 along with percentage compatibility in a graphical representation. The percentage compatibility mentioned herein include both the physical and astrological compatibility. The present system 100 provides closest match to the user 108 based on his / her preferences and astrological compatibility of the couple. The user 108 may now choose the most appropriate match and interact with her / him.
In an embodiment of the present invention, upon receiving a search request from the user 108, the server 102 will provide search results to the user 108 considering the present and past preferences of the user 108. The present and past preferences are given certain weightage while providing search results to the user 108. The user preferences like profile information, searches done by the user, contacts made by the user, other people contacting the user are logged into the database 104. Higher weightage is given to recent information. This information is combined with the astrological information in the database 104 to generate the combined match score.
In an embodiment of the present invention, a method is implemented in the server 102 for providing percentage compatibility for matrimonial and dating purposes. The said method comprising receiving profile attributes of a user, receiving astrological data of the user, receiving preference profile attributes from the user, enabling the user to visit the profile for which he/she intends to calculate score, clicking the "Match Tech" score button for generating score by the user, computing device generates a first score by comparing the

profile attributes of the user and the selected user, computing device generates a second score based on the astrological calculations of astrological data of the user and the selected user, computing device generates a third score based on the user behavior of me user and the selected user, computing device generates the aggregated compatibility score based on the first, second and third computed score, providing the said compatibility score as percentage compatibility to the user.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, a method is provided that is implemented in a computing device for providing percentage compatibility for matrimonial and dating purposes. The method comprising receiving profile attributes of a user by the computing device, receiving astrological data of the user by the computing device, receiving preference profile attributes from the user by the computing device, providing a list of results to the user based on the comparison of preference profile attributes with the profile attributes of the already registered users, enabling the user to select a result from the list of results, generating a first score by comparing the profile attributes of the user and the selected user, generating a second score based on the astrological calculations of astrological data of the user and me selected user, generating a third score based on the user behavior of the user and the selected user, generating a compatibility score of the user and the selected user by the computing device, providing the said compatibility score as percentage compatibility to the user.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the first score is calculated on the basis of following attributes marital status, manglik, height, religion, caste, mother tongue, eating habits, smoking habits and location. Higher weightage will be given to the profile which matches the maximum number of attributes against the preferred partner criteria.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the second score is based on couples planetary positions, numerological calculations and modern techniques based on the events on earth, the cycles, position, aspects and motion of the sun, moon, and eight planets along the elliptic which is calculated using the following attributes time of birth, date of birth and place of birth.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the third score is weighted score

derived out of Groom's profile information, the kind of profiles he is searching for, the profiles he is contacting along with the kind of people who are getting in touch with him. The third score for the profile information, search logs and contact information demoralized using a scoring logic. The said logic also weights the score across time frame giving greater relevance to what is recent and gradually reducing weight age as data point's age.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the server 102 may incorporate a software that enable the user 108 to search for most appropriate match.
In an embodiment of the present invention, a method is provided that enable the server to check compatibility of the couple based on astrological calculations.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the user 108 may create his / her account and search for possible match using a cellphone.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the server 102 is electronically coupled to an Interactive Voice Response Service (IVRS) that enable a user 108 to search for possible match using his / her cellphone.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the user 108 may be informed about possible match by short text message (SMS) over the cellphone.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the user may use the present system through a mobile application in his/her mobile.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the server 102, the user 108 and database 106 are placed at different physical locations.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the system 100 may be used for any application that requires two entities to be matched such as job to a candidate, house to a home buyer and the like.
In use, a system 100 may be used by plurality of users. The user 108 is required to create his / her account on the server 102 by providing his / her details. The user 108 may

provide his / her preferences for a possible match. A search is carried out by the server 102 over the existing users for possible match and results of the search is provided to the user 108. The user 108 may request for check compatibility based on astrological calculations for the provided results. The server 102 will carry out calculations using a method and provide the user the combined match score of the couple . This will provide the user 108 most appropriate matches. The user 108 may proceed by communicating with the most appropriate match provided by the server 102.
Accordingly, the system 100 is adapted to provide a interface to plurality of users who wish to search for their possible match for marriage for dating purposes. The present invention provides most appropriate search results among the existing users of the system 100 based on user preferences and astrological compatibility.
The above-described presently preferred embodiments can be modified into many alternative preferred embodiments. It is to be noted that the system 100 and the system incorporating the same is not limited to the exemplary configuration described herein, but, the system 100 and the method thereof may include a multitude of configurational arrangements.

They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the present invention to precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the present invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the present invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.

We claim:
1. A method implemented in a computing device for providing percentage compatibility for
matrimonial and dating purposes, the method comprising:
receiving profile attributes of a user by the computing device;
receiving astrological data of the user by the computing device;
receiving preference profile attributes from the user by the computing device;
user visits the profile for which he/she intends to calculate score;
user clicks a "Match Tech" score button for generating score;
computing device generates a first score by comparing the profile attributes of
the user and the selected user;
computing device generates a second score based on the astrological
calculations of astrological data of the user and the selected user;
computing device generates a third score based on the user behavior of the
user and the selected user;
computing device generates the aggregated compatibility score based on the
first, second and third computed score; and
providing the said compatibility score as percentage compatibility to the user.
2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the list of results provided to the user by the computing device are of opposite gender.
3. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the steps of receiving the profile attributes and astrological data is carried out as a registration step by the computing device.
4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the profile attributes comprises physical and socio - economical parameters of the user.
5. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein me astrological data comprises date of birth, time of birth and place of birth of the user.
6. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the compatibility score is generated by the computing device by adding the first score, second score and third score.
7. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the percentage compatibility is generated by the computing device by using the compatibility score and an ideal compatibility score.
8. The method as claimed in claim 7, wherein the ideal compatibility score us generated by the computing device based on ideal conditions.
9. A computing system for providing percentage compatibility for matrimonial and dating purposes, the system comprising:
an inputting means for receiving profile attributes, astrological data, preference profile attributes of a user and for enabling the user to select;
a processing means for providing a list of results to the user based on the comparison of preference profile attributes with the profile attributes of the already registered users and for generating first, second, third and compatibility score for the user and a selected user; and
an output means for providing the user percentage compatibility of the user and the selected user.
10. The computing system as claimed in claim 10, wherein the inputting means is keyboard.
11. The computing system as claimed in claim 10, wherein the processing means is a micro-processor.
12. The computing system as claimed in claim 10, wherein the outputting means is a display unit.
