Mobile Remote Surveillance

Abstract: A system and method that provides remote surveillance for MRS service mobile user and authorized mobile user. The Spy phone based on the text of the short messages will either records video/audio/picture surveillance data and uploads the surveillance data to MRS platform. Authorized mobile user can view the surveillance data by login to MRS platform. The invention relates to mobile communications, and more particularly to surveillance remotely from mobile (Spy Phone). Embodiments herein relate to a system which provides MRS Mobile client Application and MRS Data Store / View for mobile users to capture the surveillance remotely. MRS Platform is powerful and very useful mobility solution.FIG.1

The following specification particularly describes and ascertains the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:-

[001] This invention relates to mobile communications, and more particularly to provide surveillance remotely from mobile

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[002] Traditional CCTV, IP camera, Web camera based solutions are
popular way for surveillance. Infrastructure for traditional surveillance solution is expensive and more over immobile.
[003] Currently offered Mobile Remote Surveillance (MRS) provides mobile
users to take surveillance remotely. The offered solution is cost effective and is mobile.

OBJECT OF INVENTION
[004] The principal object of this invention is to provide simple and cost
effective surveillance solution.
[005] Another object of the invention is to provide a method for. “Anytime ,
Anywhere” mobility surveillance solution.

STATEMENT OF INVENTION
[006] Accordingly the invention provides a system comprising of a MRS
Subscription Module, Mobile Phone, and MRS Data Store / View module. MRS provisioned mobile user gets WAP push URL for downloading MRS mobile client application. Mobile phone having MRS mobile client application records the surveillance automatically based on the keyword received in short message and automatically uploads surveillance data to MRS Data Store / View module.
[007] MRS Data Store / View stores the surveillance received from the Spy
phone. Notification is sent to an authorized mobile user who requested for the surveillance. Authorized mobile user who requested for surveillance can login to MRS Data Store / View module to view surveillance through Web or WAP.

provisioning for MRS Service, storing surveillance data, according to embodiments as disclosed herein;

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
[0012] The embodiments herein and the various feature and advantages details
thereof are explained more fully with reference to the non-limiting embodiments that are illustrated in the accompanying drawings and detailed in the following description. Descriptions of well-known components and processing techniques are omitted so as to not unnecessarily obscure the embodiments herein. The examples used herein are intended merely to facilitate an understanding of ways in which the embodiments herein may be practiced and to further enable those of skill in the art to practice the embodiments herein. Accordingly, the examples should not be construed as limiting the scope of the embodiments herein.
[0013] The embodiment herein achieve Mobile Remote surveillance by
incorporating systems and methods thereof. Referring now to the drawings, and more particularly to FIGS. 1 through 5, where similar reference characters denote corresponding features consistently throughout the figures.
[0014] The embodiment herein disclose a method for Remote Surveillance
from Spy Phone on request from authorized mobile user. Authorized mobile user can view the surveillance data
[0015] FIG.1 illustrates system components of Mobile Remote Surveillance,
according to embodiments as disclosed herein. The system comprises of a Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform 101, Operator’s Short Message Service Center102, Operator’s WAP GW 103, Operators Charging-Gw 104, Web Browser 105, Mobile Network 106, Spy Phone 107 and plurality of mobile users i.e. user 108 and user 109.
[0016] Mobile user can provision for Mobile Remote Surveillance service by
sending an SMS Request to Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform module 101. Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform module 101 will do subscription based charging. MRS provisioned mobile user will receive WAP Push URL for downloading the MRS mobile client application. Spy Phone will record the surveillance based on the keyword of short message. Spy Phone will automatically upload the surveillance data to Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform 101.
[0017] The network 106 acts as medium for transmission of the SMS
messages and Surveillance data to Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform module 101 and receiving notification messages.
[0018] FIG.2 illustrates a Mobile Remote Surveillance module, network
operator’s SMSC, WAP GW, Charging-Gw and communication network components, according to embodiments as disclosed herein. Mobile Remote Surveillance Module 101 comprises of two sub modules: a MRS Subscription Module 201, MRS Mobile Client Application 202 and MRS Data Store / View 203. MRS Subscription module integrates with operators SMSC for getting provision request from mobile user 106. MRS Subscription module provisions mobile user for MRS Service and receives WAP Push URL for downloading MRS mobile client application
[0019] MRS Mobile Client Application module 202 integrates with Operator’s
WAP GW. Mobile Client Application module gets the trigger from MRS Subscription module 201. Mobile user can download MRS mobile client application through WAP GW. Mobile user 107 is Spy Phone..
[0020] MRS Data Store / View module 203 integrates with Operators SMSC,
WAP GW and Spy Phone. Spy Phone 107 uploads surveillance data to MRS Data Store / View module 203. MRS Data Store / View module 203 submits WAP URL to authorized mobile user 108 who has requested for the surveillance. Authorized mobile user 108 can view the surveillance data through WAP GW or through Web 105.
[0021] The SMSC 102 works on the principle of store and forward mechanism
i.e., SMSC 102 stores the SMS message received from the user 107 of mobile device sent through the network 106 and forwards the SMS to Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform module 101.
[0022] The WAP GW 103 works on the principle of providing the mobile
internet access for mobile users 108. Mobile user 108 can view the Surveillance data from Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform module 101.
[0023] FIG.3 is a flow chart depicting sequence of steps for provisioning for
MRS service, according to embodiments as disclosed herein. Mobile user sends (301) an SMS Request for MRS service. MRS Subscription Module (201) provisions mobile user and sends (303) WAP Push URL to mobile user. Mobile user downloads (304) MRS mobile client application through mobile network. Mobile user installs (305) MRS mobile client application. Mobile user 107 configures (306) authorized mobile users.FIG.4 is a flow chart depicting the sequence for remotely recording the
surveillance data. SMS Request is sent (401) from the authorized mobile user to mobile phone 107. Mobile phone 107 parses (402) short message. If the text is audio (403) mobile phone 107 records (404) audio. If the text is video (405) mobile phone 107 records (406) video. If the text is picture (407) mobile phone 107 captures (408) picture. Mobile phone 107 uploads (409) surveillance data to MRS Data Store / View Module (203). MRS Data Store / View Module (203) submits (410) surveillance data URL to authorized mobile user. Authorized mobile user accesses (411) surveillance data through mobile network or Web.
[0024] In an embodiment, Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform module may
be implemented to enhance the utilization of mobile network resource WAP GW and SMSC for handling regular mobile internet access and SMS service. In an example, network operators providing Global System for Mobile communication (GSM), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) services for capturing the surveillance data remotely
[0025] The embodiments disclosed herein can be implemented through at least
one software program running on at least one hardware device and performing network management functions to control the network elements. The network elements shown in Fig. 1 and 2 include blocks which can be at least one of a hardware device, or a combination of hardware device and software module. The embodiment disclosed herein describes a method for group chat in mobile device. Therefore, it is understood that the scope of the protection is extended to such a program and in addition to a computer readable means having a message therein, such computer readable storage means contain program code means for implementation of one or more steps of the method, when the program runs on a server or mobile device or any suitable programmable device. The hardware device can be any kind of portable device that can be programmed. The device may also include means which could be e.g. hardware means like e.g. an ASIC, or a combination of hardware and software means, e.g. an ASIC and an FPGA, or at least one microprocessor and at least one memory with software modules located therein. The method embodiments described herein could be implemented partly in hardware and partly in software. Alternatively, the invention may be implemented on different hardware devices, e.g. using a plurality of CPUs
[0026] The foregoing description of the specific embodiments will so fully
reveal the general nature of the embodiments herein that others can, by applying current knowledge, readily modify and/or adapt for various applications such specific embodiments without departing from the generic concept, and, therefore, such adaptations and modifications should and are intended to be comprehended within the meaning and range of equivalents of the disclosed embodiments. It is to be understood that the phraseology or terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation. Therefore, while the embodiments herein have been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the embodiments herein can be practiced with modification within the spirit and scope of the embodiments as described herein

WE CLAIM:-

1. A system providing Mobile Remote Surveillance Platform in a mobile network, said system comprising of at least one means configured for:
Enabling a first mobile user to download a surveillance application onto mobile phone of said first mobile user;
Receiving surveillance data from first mobile user; and
Making said surveillance data available to authorized users.

2. The system as in claim 1, wherein said system is further configured for enabling said first mobile user to register before downloading said surveillance application.

3. The system, as claimed in claim 1, wherein said system is further configured for making surveillance data available to said authorized users using said mobile network.

4. The system, as claimed in claim 1, wherein said system is further configured for making surveillance data available to said authorized users using the internet.

5. A mobile phone in a mobile network, said mobile phone comprising at least one means configured for
Checking received short message service (SMS) for appropriate keywords;
Recording appropriate surveillance data if said appropriate keyword is present in said SMS; and
Sending said surveillance data to said mobile network.

6. The mobile phone, as claimed in claim 5, wherein said mobile phone is further configured for recording video surveillance data, if said appropriate keyword is video.

7. The mobile phone, as claimed in claim 5, wherein said mobile phone is further configured for recording audio surveillance data, if said appropriate keyword is audio.

8. The mobile phone, as claimed in claim 5, wherein said mobile phone is further configured for recording picture surveillance data, if said appropriate keyword is picture.

9. A method for providing surveillance data in a mobile network, said method comprising steps of
A first mobile user sending a short message service (SMS) with appropriate keywords to a second mobile phone;
Said second mobile phone checking received short message service (SMS) for appropriate keywords;
Said second mobile phone recording appropriate surveillance data if said appropriate keyword is present in said SMS; and
Said second mobile phone sending said surveillance data to said mobile network; and
Said mobile network making said surveillance data available to authorized users.

10. The method, as claimed in claim 9, wherein said method further comprises steps of
User of said second mobile phone registering for said surveillance service; and
Said user downloading a surveillance application onto said second mobile phone.

11. The method, as claimed in claim 9, wherein said mobile phone records video surveillance data, if said appropriate keyword is video.

12. The method, as claimed in claim 9, wherein said mobile phone records audio surveillance data, if said appropriate keyword is audio.

13. The method, as claimed in claim 9, wherein said mobile phone records picture surveillance data, if said appropriate keyword is picture.

14. The method, as claimed in claim 9, wherein said mobile network makes surveillance data available to said authorized users using said mobile network.

15. The method, as claimed in claim 9, wherein said mobile network makes surveillance data available to said authorized users using the internet.
