Surface Modified Recycled Carbon Black, Process Of Manufacturing The Same, And Uses Thereof

Abstract: The present invention provides a surface modified recycled Carbon Black and an optimized process of manufacturing the surface modified recycled Carbon Black, thereby reducing the presence of volatile and carbonaceous matter over the Carbon Black surface. Conventionally generated recycled Carbon Black from end-of-life tyres /rubber compounds do not have adequate surface functionality as compared to conventional Carbon Black produced from fossil fuel feedstocks. The present invention provides a process to enrich the recycled Carbon Black obtained from pyrolysis by eliminating residual mineral inorganic additives, followed by surface modification of the recycled Carbon Black.
