Abstract: The present invention relates to a tuck lock packaging box with perforations and interlocking wherein a plurality of perforated line (33) present over a top wall (27) in such a manner that allows any trapped air to escape when the portion of the top wall (27) is attached to a flap (31) and further any attempt of opening the top wall (27) of the closed box result into tearing of the top wall (27) along the corresponding plurality of perforated line (33) thereby evidencing any attempt of tempering. The present invention is also present with a self erect mechanism achieved due to the interlocking of the corresponding flaps (10, 11, 16, 17).
That the present invention relates to tamper free packaging box and more particularly to tuck lock packaging box with perforations and interlocking flaps to minimize tampering and make evident any tampering to the packaging box.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the e-commerce industry various products are packaged, shipped and delivered (i.e. supply chain) to the customers which includes shipping high end electronic goods i.e. mobile phones, tablets, power banks, camera, watches, etc.
Cardboard based packaging is a versatile and cost-efficient method to transport, protect and preserve a wide array of items. Cardboard boxes are industrially prefabricated boxes, primarily used for packaging goods and materials and can be recycled. The term cardboard may refer to a variety of heavy paper like material including card stock, corrugated, fiberboard and paper board.
US3008626 discloses a folding carton box formed by folding or erecting one or more blanks by folding-up portions connected to a central panel from all sides to form a container body with adjacent sides interconnected by gusset folds and being maintained in erected condition by integral mechanical locking means formed on or coacting with the gusset folds e.g., tabs, tongue and slit.
However, the above mentioned invention is not provided with tempering evidencing mechanisms.
Packaging theft is unfortunately a problem that happens all too often. Theft does not just consist of packages being stolen off of porches or door steps. Theft also includes carton
tampering and products being stolen from cardboard boxes before ever making it to the destination.
Attempts have been made since long back to prevent tempering of the cardboard boxes. Various boxes with various structures and features to prevent tempering without detection are already in use and have been developed and introduced from time to time. Even several patents have already been granted and several are in process of registration for such boxes with temper proof features.
US 4246307 discloses a laminated sticker card, the laminate including a printed inner layer which adheres to a substrate and an outer layer. Portions of the printed inner layer adjacent the substrate are preferentially adhered at certain locations to the substrate and at other locations to the outer layer of the laminate from the substrate results in tearing of the printed inner layer at the preferentially adhered locations.
However, the same requires that the user be alert to the special circumstances which indicate tempering.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
This description is not intended to be a detailed log of all the possible ways in which the invention may be implemented, or all features that may be added to the instant invention. For example, features illustrated with respect to a particular embodiment may be incorporated into other embodiment, and features illustrated with respect to a particular embodiment may be deleted from that embodiment. In addition, numerous variations and additions to the various embodiment suggested herein will be apparent to those skilled in the art in light of the present disclosure, which do not depart from the present invention. Hence the following specifications are intended to illustrate some particular embodiment and variations thereof.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention as disclosed in Fig 1 to 7, the tuck lock packaging box (A) with perforations & interlocking flaps relates to the rectangular box. Fig 1 discloses the blank used for forming the box (A) according to the present invention the in a flat die cut form with folding lines and the portion of the blank can be fold accordingly to form walls/sides of the packaged box (A). That plurality of walls (2, 3, 4, 5) are foldably joined to the sides of the base wall (1) along the folding lines (6, 7, 8, 9). Walls (2, 3, 4, 5) when folded upward form the sides walls of the box (A) covering the box from the corresponding sides. Flaps (10, 11) of equal dimensions foldably joined along folding lines (12, 13) to side wall (3). The flaps (10, 11) are present with the interlocking mechanisms (14, 15) to be interlocked with the complementary interlocking mechanism (20, 21) present on corresponding flaps (16, 17) foldably joined to the side wall (5) along the folding lines (18, 19). The side walls (3, 5) are further joined with flaps (24, 25) along folding lines (22, 23) respectively. The flaps (24, 25) restrict any access from corresponding sides in a completely arranged and closed box (A). The side walls (3, 5) folded in upward direction and the flaps (10, 11, 16, 17) are interlocked correspondingly forming a self erected box with base wall (1) and with side walls (3, 5) and with open top as shown in Fig 3.
The side wall (2) is joined along folding line (26) with top wall (27) having dimensions equal to the dimensions of the base wall (1) and the top wall (27) is further joined with a tab (28) along the folding line (29) present to side opposite to folding line (26). The side wall (4) having dimensions equal to the dimensions of the wall (2) is further joined with a flap (31) along the folding line (30). A slit (32) of size corresponding to the tab (28) is present preferably along folding line (30) in such a manner that when the flap (31) is folded along the folding line (30) in inward direction the slit (32) forms a slot (32). The walls (2, 4) when folded upward along the folding lines (6, 8) form side walls (2, 4) of the box assembly (A) and the top wall (27) when folded downwardly over the carton box forms the top portion (27) of the box assembly (A) completely closing the box from top side. The tab (28) is then inserted into the slot (32) so as to tuck lock the top wall (27) in the position.
The top wall (27) at the side opposite to folding line (26) is present with plurality of the perforated lines (33) preferably running parallel to each other and at a regular distance with other towards the side wall (2). The side wall (4) is present with two perforated lines (34) touching the ends of the slot (19) and running parallel to each other towards the folding line (8).
The upper surface of the flap (31) is preferably present with the adhesive secured with peel able protection strip (35) so that the top wall (27) can be securely attached with the upper surface of the flap (31) in a completely packed box assembly (A) containing goods to be parceled.
While arranging the tuck lock packaging box (A), side walls (3, 5) are folded upward along the folding lines (7, 9) and the flaps (10, 11) are interlocked with corresponding flaps (16, 17) correspondingly. Thereafter the flaps (24, 25) are inwardly folded along the folding lines (22, 23). After that, the walls (2, 4) are folded upward along the folding lines (6, 8) covering the wall formed by the correspondingly interlocked flaps (10, 11, 16, 17). The flap (31) is then inwardly folded along the folding line (30) in a manner providing clear passage for the tab (28) into the slot (32). The protection strip (35) is then
peeled off. The top wall (27) is then folded along the folding line (26) allowing top wall (27) covering the box (A) from the top and the tab (28) is tuck locked into the slot (32). The top wall (27) covers the box completely and the portion of the top wall (27) having perforated lines (33) get overlapped with the upper surface of the flap (31) and get securely stuck with the adhesive present over the same. The perforated lines (33) allows any trapped air in between the overlapped portion the top wall (27) and the flap (31) to escape ensuring better sticking and further ensuring tearing of the top wall (27) along the perforated lines (33) with any attempt of tempering.
In another preferred embodiment the adhesive glue instead of being present on the flap (31) may be present over the surface of the top wall (27) overlapping with the said flap (31). The backing over which the adhesive is coated is having cuts along the perforated lines (33) so that in case of any possible tempering the top wall (27) will get easily tear along the perforated lines (33). The forceful pull out of small tab (28) from slot (32) will result in tear of perforation lines (34) along side wall (4).
