I/We Claim:
1. A hospital management system (100) for educational institutions, the system (100) comprising:
a registration module (200) configured to enable students to register into the system (100) using a health service application (110);
an input receiving module (202) configured to:
receive academic records and medical records of the registered students from a user device (102);
receive an input associated with a health issue from the user device (102); and
a data processing module (206) configured to:
determine a type of the health issue received from the user device (102);
transmit information associated with food allergies on a first computing device of a mess owner, when the determined health issue is related to the food allergies;
transmit information associated with a skin disease to a skin department registered on the health service application (110), when the determined health issue is related to the skin disease;
transmit an inhaler request to a dispensary of the educational institutions, when the determined health issue is related to asthma; and
transmit a notification to a second computing device of health service providers registered on the health service application (110), when the determined health issue is related to illness such that one of, the health service providers provide medication based on the medical records stored in a database (106).
2. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a data storage module (204) configured to store the received academic records and the medical records in the database (106).
3. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the data processing module (206) is further configured to transmit an ambulance notification to an ambulance service provider for booking an ambulance for the corresponding student, when the determined health issue is related to emergency.
4. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the medical records are selected from a medical history, allergies of the students, proofs of medical history of the students, test reports, a medication status, a vaccination status, or a combination thereof.
5. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the health service application (110) is installable on the user device (102).
6. A method for providing health services to students based on medical records, wherein the method comprising steps of:
enabling the students to register into a health service application (110);
receiving academic records and medical records of the registered students from a user device (102);
receiving an input associated with a health issue from the user device (102);
determining a type of the health issue received from the user device (102);
transmitting information associated with food allergies on a first computing device of a mess owner, when the determined health issue is related to the food allergies;
transmitting information associated with a skin disease to a skin department registered on the health service application (110), when the determined health issue is related to the skin disease;
transmitting an inhaler request to a dispensary of the educational institutions, when the determined health issue is related to asthma; and
transmitting a notification to a second computing device of health service providers registered on the health service application (110), when the determined health issue is related to illness such that one of, the health service providers provide medication based on the medical records stored in a database (106).
7. The method as claimed in claim 6, further comprising of step of storing the received academic records and the medical records in the database (106).
8. The method as claimed in claim 6, further comprising of step of transmitting an ambulance notification to an ambulance service provider for booking an ambulance for the corresponding student, when the determined health issue is related to emergency.
9. The method as claimed in claim 6, wherein the medical records are selected from a medical history, allergies of the students, proofs of medical history of the students, test reports, a medication status, a vaccination status, or a combination thereof.
10. The method as claimed in claim 6, wherein the health service application (110) is installable on the user device (102).

BACKGROUND
Field of Invention
[001] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a hospital management system and method and particularly to the hospital management system and method for educational institutions.
Description of Related Art
[002] Students are building blocks of a nation. Therefore, maintaining a health of the students is of utmost importance. The students spend majority of their time at educational institutions, for example a student spends nearly 7-8 hours in a college for their study. In case, any health issue arises at the educational institutions, proper services and maintained health record of the student must be present. Traditionally, the health record of the students is maintained on papers, however, maintaining the health records on the papers is difficult. Moreover, addition and deletion of student records needs to be done when new students arrive and older students leave the educational institutions.
[003] Conventionally, systems are available for checking general health parameters such as height, weight, and body temperature and sends a reminder to the student if the general health parameters are out of range. Moreover, the available systems only focus on mental and psychological health. In addition, the available systems are restricted to hospitals and clinics for maintaining patient records, billing, hospital inventory for hospitals.
[004] There is thus a need for an advanced and more effective hospital management system and method for the educational institutions that can administer the drawbacks faced by the conventional systems.
SUMMARY
[005] Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a hospital management system for educational institutions. The system comprising: a registration module configured to enable students to register into the system using a health service application. The system further comprising: an input receiving module configured to: receive academic records and medical records of the registered students from a user device; receive an input associated with a health issue from the user device. The system further comprising: a data processing module configured to: determine a type of the health issue received from the user device; transmit information associated with food allergies on a first computing device of a mess owner, when the determined health issue is related to the food allergies; transmit information associated with a skin disease to a skin department registered on the health service application, when the determined health issue is related to the skin disease; transmit an inhaler request to a dispensary of the educational institutions, when the determined health issue is related to asthma; and transmit a notification to a second computing device of health service providers registered on the health service application, when the determined health issue is related to illness such that one of, the health service providers provide medication based on the medical records stored in a database.
[006] Embodiments in accordance with the present invention further provide a method for providing health services to students based on medical records, wherein the method comprising steps of: enabling the students to register into a health service application; receiving academic records and the medical records of the registered students from a user device; receiving an input associated with a health issue from the user device; determining a type of the health issue received from the user device; transmitting information associated with food allergies on a first computing device of a mess owner, when the determined health issue is related to the food allergies; transmitting information associated with a skin disease to a skin department registered on the health service application, when the determined health issue is related to the skin disease; transmitting an inhaler request to a dispensary of the educational institutions, when the determined health issue is related to asthma; and transmitting a notification to a second computing device of health service providers registered on the health service application, when the determined health issue is related to illness such that one of, the health service providers provide medication based on the medical records stored in a database.
[007] Embodiments of the present invention may provide a number of advantages depending on its particular configuration. First, embodiments of the present application may provide a hospital management system for educational institutions that may eliminate a maintenance of paper requirement for student medical records as it is an automated system.
[008] Next, embodiments of the present invention may provide a hospital management system for educational institutions that may help to save time by automatically providing illness records, medicine and vaccination status.
[009] Next, embodiments of the present invention may provide a hospital management system for educational institutions that may maintain an application and a database for medical history and illness of students.
[0010] These and other advantages will be apparent from the present application of the embodiments described herein.

The system 100 may be configured to maintain medical records of students. The medical record may comprise details such as, but not limited to, medical history, allergies of the students, proofs of medical history of the students, test reports, a medication status, a vaccination status, and so forth. The vaccination status may before example, not vaccinated, fully vaccinated or vaccinated with a single dose. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the medical record.
[0021] In an embodiment of the present invention, the system 100 may comprise a user device 102, a health service platform 104, and a database 106. The user device 102, the health service platform 104, and the database 106 may be connected to each other through a network 108.
[0022] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the network 108 may be a data network such as, but not limited to, the Internet, a Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN), a Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the data network, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies. In another embodiment of the present invention, the network 108 may be a wireless network, such as, but not limited to, a cellular network, and may employ various technologies including an Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution (EDGE), a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the wireless network, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0023] The user device 102 may be a device used by the corresponding students to provide an input associated with health issues, in an embodiment of the present invention. The user device 102 may also be used by the user to receive health services, in an embodiment of the present invention. The user device 102 may be, but not limited to, a mobile device, a smart phone, a tablet computer, a portable computer, a laptop computer, a desktop computer, a smart device, and so forth. Embodiments are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the user device 102, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0024] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the user device 102 may comprise software applications such as, but not limited to, a navigation application, a camera application, a media player application, a social networking application, and the like. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the user device 102 may comprise a health service application 110 that may be a computer readable program installed on the user device 102 for getting the health services. Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, the students may provide the input of the health issues by providing login details. In such embodiment of the present invention, the login details may be, but not limited to, a student identifier, a passcode, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the login details that may be associated with the students.
[0025] The user device 102 may further comprise a processor 112 and a user interface 114. The processor 112 may be configured to receive and/or transmit data associated with the system 100 over the network 108. Further, the processor 112 may be configured to process the data associated with the system 100, in an embodiment of the present invention. According to embodiments of the present invention, the processor 112 may be, but not limited to, a Programmable Logic Control unit (PLC), a microcontroller, a microprocessor, a computing device, a development board, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the processor 112 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0026] The user interface 114 may be configured to enable the students to interact with the health service application 110 installed within the user device 102, according to an embodiment of the present invention. In another embodiment of the present invention, the user interface 114 may be configured to enable the students to interact with a health service website through a web browser. The user interface 114 may be, but not limited to, a digital display, a touch screen display, a graphical user interface, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the user interface 114 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0027] The health service platform 104 may be computer readable instructions that may be stored onto a memory device 116 and configured to control operations of the system 100. The health service platform 104 may comprise the memory device 116 and a processing unit 118. Further, a working of the health service platform 104 will be explained in detail in conjunction with FIG. 2.
[0028] The memory device 116 may be a non-transitory data storage medium that may be configured to store computer executable instructions of the health service platform 104 for controlling operations of the system 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the memory device 116 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.

Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the database 106 including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
[0031] FIG. 2 illustrates components of the health service platform 104 of the system 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. The components may be, a registration module 200, an input receiving module 202, a data storage module 204, and a data processing module 206.
[0032] In an embodiment of the present invention, the registration module 200 may be configured to enable the students to register into the system 100 using one of, the health service application 110 or the health service website. The registration module 200 may be configured to enable the students to register into the system 100 by providing registration details, in an embodiment of the present invention. The registration details may include attributes such as, but not limited to, a student name, a contact number, an electronic (e-mail) address, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the registration details that may enable the students to register into the system 100. Further, the registration module 200 may be configured to enable the students to generate the student identifier and the passcode. The registration module 200 may be configured to enable the students to use the generated student identifier and the passcode for example, but not limited to, a fingerprint, a face recognition, a retina, and alike to login into the system 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the passcode, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies to securely log-in into the system 100.
[0033] The input receiving module 202 may be configured to receive the academic records and the medical records of the registered students through the health service application 110, in an embodiment of the present invention. The input receiving module 202 may be configured to transmit the received academic records and the medical records of the registered students to the data storage module 204. In an embodiment of the present invention, the input receiving module 202 may be configured to receive the input associated with the health issues from the user device 102 through the health service application 110. The health issues may be related to, food allergies, illness, skin disease, asthma, and so forth. The input receiving module 202 may be configured to transmit the received input associated with the health issues to the data processing module 206.
[0034] The data storage module 204 may be configured to store the received academic records and the medical records in the database 106, in an embodiment of the present invention.
[0035] The data processing module 206 may be configured to determine a type of the health issue provided by the student, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, if the data processing module 206 determines that the health issue is related to the food allergies, then the data processing module 206 may be configured to transmit information associated with the food allergies on a first computing device of a mess owner.
[0036] In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, if the data processing module 206 determines that the health issue is related to the skin disease, then the data processing module 206 may be configured to transmit information associated with the skin disease to a skin department registered on the health service application 110.
[0037] In yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, if the data processing module 206 determines that the health issue is related to the asthma, then the data processing module 206 may be configured to transmit an inhaler request to a dispensary of the educational institutions.
[0038] In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, if the data processing module 206 determines that the health issue is related to the illness, then the data processing module 206 may be configured to transmit a notification to a second computing device of health service providers registered on the health service application 110, so that one of, the health service providers may contact the student online for providing medication. In such embodiment of the present invention, the health service provider may provide the medication based on the medical records stored in the database 106. The health service providers may be, but not limited to, doctors, nurses, health professionals, and so forth. In an embodiment of the present invention, the medication may be available in the dispensary of the educational institutions.
[0039] In yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, if the data processing module 206 determines that the health issue is related to emergency, then the data processing module 206 may be configured to transmit an ambulance notification to an ambulance service provider for booking an ambulance for the corresponding student.
[0040] FIG. 3 depicts a flowchart of a method 300 for providing the health services to the students based on the medical records, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
