Abstract: ABSTRACT A Device For Use With Firearm A device for use with firearm comprises a covering body (1) having toothed mount rail (2) provided therewith integrally and secured with rear-upper end of a firearm such that to hold an accessory adjustably therewith. A central channel (3) is provided throughout the length of the toothed mount rails (2) to facilitate to see through iron-sight point view made to aim a target. A spring-loaded holder (4) is provided at front end of the covering body (1) to facilitate securing of the covering body (1) with the firearm. Channel (5) is provided at rear end of the covering body (1) to accommodate a sliding block (6) therein provided to hold recoil spring lever of the firearm therewith. A hole (7) is provided at end of the covering body (1) to allow passage of front end of the recoil spring lever. An adjusting / locking means (8) is provided over the channel (5) such that to adjust the position of the covering body (1) manually and to lock the same as and when required by an operator. [Fig.1]

Claims:I/WE CLAIM:
1. A device for use with firearm comprising a covering body (1) having toothed mount rail (2) provided therewith integrally and secured with rear-upper end of a firearm such that to hold an accessory adjustably therewith, a central channel (3) being provided throughout the length of the toothed mount rails (2) to facilitate to see through iron-sight point view made to aim a target, a spring loaded holder (4) being provided at front end of the covering body (1) to facilitate securing of the covering body (1) with the firearm, channel (5) being provided at rear end of the covering body (1) to accommodate a sliding block (6) therein provided to hold recoil spring lever of the firearm therewith, a hole (7) being provided at end of the covering body (1) to allow passage of front end of the recoil spring lever, adjusting / locking means (8) being provided over the channel (5) such that to adjust the position of the covering body (1) manually and to lock the same as and when required by an operator.
2. The device for use with firearm as claimed in claim 1, wherein a guiding slot is provided at one side of the covering body to facilitate bullet loading lever of the firearm.
3. The device for use with firearm as claimed in claim 1, wherein the central channel is provided in a shape of, for example, U-shape, V-shape, rectangular, semicircular, etc.
4. The device for use with firearm as claimed in claim 1, wherein the spring-loaded holder comprises a lever having a sharp front end and adapted to be secured pivotally in housing provided at front end of the covering body.
5. The device for use with firearm as claimed in claim 1, wherein the adjusting and locking means comprises rotor adapted to be accommodated in a U shaped part of the covering body such that to move a threaded pin, passing through the U shaped part and rotor, clockwise and anti-clockwise upon rotation of the rotor and thus to move the sliding block upward and downward in the channel so to adjust the position of the covering body.
6. The device for use with firearm as claimed in claim 5, wherein the adjusting and locking means further comprises a grub screw adapted to lock the rotation of the rotor with respect to the threaded pin.
7. The device for use with firearm as claimed in claim 5, wherein a click ball screw is provided with the U-shaped part such that to lock rotation of the rotor so as to lock the position of the covering body.
8. The device for use with firearm as claimed in claim 5, wherein multiples ball bores are provided over the upper surface of the rotor to lock the click ball screw therein.

, Description:FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to a device for use with firearm. In particular, this invention relates to the device/bracket to incorporate with a firearm to mount a device thereon, act as a dust cover for the firearm, and also, facilitate iron-sight view to an operator after mounting an accessory device thereon.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A bracket, also called Picatinny rail mount to incorporate with firearm is known in the prior art. The rail mount is used to mount devices like iron sights, tactical lights, laser aiming modules, night vision devices, reflex sights, holographic sights, foregrips, bipods, slings, and bayonets. Also, some of the mount rails are used as a dust cover for a firearm.
Indian patent publication no. 201941046228, disclose a modular firearm configuration that can act as common platform for different weapon systems which could be mass-produced economically using available manufacturing techniques. It comprises upper receiver assembly, lower receiver assembly, forearm, and trigger casing unit. The upper receiver is monolithic in nature with an integrated accessory rail and guidance feature extending into the passageway. Molded lower receiver with an integral pistol grip, with a mating interface configured for operably joining the lower receiver assembly to the upper receiver assembly, is adapted to house the trigger casing unit, magazine release assembly, bolt hold/release assembly, and magazine. Sheet Metal formed Trigger Casing Unit is adapted to house the fire mode selector lever and trigger assembly, namely the trigger, disconnector, hammer, and auto sear. A forearm that attaches to the upper receiver assembly with no direct contact with the barrel ensuring free-floating is adapted to receive different accessory attachments. The integral rigid extruded upper receiver along with injection moulded polymer lower receiver, sheet metal trigger casing and forearm provide enhanced accuracy, repeatability in addition to significant weight, form, and cost savings.
US patent publication no. US5941489A, disclose about a T-rail capable of being mounted to amount on a weapon and that can support a first object and a second object, said T-rail comprising: a body adapted to be secured to the mount, said body having means for adaptively supporting the first object; and an extension carried by said body, said extension being adapted to support the second object, said extension extending approximately perpendicularly from said body.
US patent publication no. US20150308787A1 discloses a scope for a firearm, comprising: a scope assembly which comprises: a tubular scope body having an objective end and an opposed sight end to define a scope axis; a lens module comprising an objective lens and an eyepiece lens supported at said objective end and said sight end of said scope body respectively for generating a scope reticle; and an attachment base extended from a bottom side of said scope body for detachably mounting said scope body on the said firearm to parallelly align said scope axis with a barrel axis of the said firearm; and head lighting arrangement which comprises a plurality of illumination elements formed at a rim of said objective end of said scope body for generating navigation light at a direction aligned with said scope axis of said scope body.
There are disadvantages associated with prior art. One of the disadvantages is that the rail mount does not facilitate an iron-sight view to an operator after mounting an accessory device thereon.
Another disadvantage associated with the prior art is that the rail mount is heavy.
Yet another disadvantage associated with the prior art is that the rail mount partially covers the rear side of the firearm that can not prevent dust.
Still another disadvantage associated with the prior art is that the rail mount is costly.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a bracket to incorporate with firearm which obviates the disadvantages associated with the prior art.
Another object to the present invention is to provide a device for use with firearm wherein the device is facilitated iron-sight view to an operator after mounting the device thereon.
Yet another object to the present invention is to provide a device for use with firearm wherein the device completely covers the rear side of the firearm that prevents the dust from entering into the firearm.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a device for use with firearm which is lightweight and easy to install.
A further object to the present invention is to provide a device for use with firearm which is low in cost.
STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided a device for use with firearm comprising a covering body having toothed mount rail provided therewith integrally and secured with rear-upper end of a firearm such that to hold an accessory adjustably therewith, a central channel being provided throughout the length of the toothed mount rails to facilitate to see through iron-sight point view made to aim a target, a spring-loaded holder being provided at front end of the covering body to facilitate securing of the covering body with the firearm, channel being provided at rear end of the covering body to accommodate a sliding block therein provided to hold recoil spring lever of the firearm therewith, a hole being provided at end of the covering body to allow passage of front end of the recoil spring lever, adjusting / locking means being provided over the channel such that to adjust the position of the covering body manually and to lock the same as and when required by an operator.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
A device for use with firearm is herein described with numerous specific details so as to provide a complete understanding of the invention. However, these specific details are exemplary details and should not be treated as the limitation to the scope of the invention. Throughout this specification the word “comprises” or variations such as “comprises or comprising”, will be understood to imply the inclusions of a stated element, integer or step, or group of elements, integers or steps, but not the exclusions of any other element, integer or step or group of elements, integers or steps.
Referring to figure 1 (A, & B), top and bottom views of the device for use with firearm are shown. The device for use with firearm comprises a covering body (1) adapted to be secured with rear-upper end of a firearm. Also, the covering body (1) works as a dust cover to the open-upper end of the firearm. Toothed mount rails (2) are integrally provided on the upper surface of the covering body (1) such that to hold / mount an accessory device, for example, tactical lights, laser aiming modules, night vision devices, reflex sights, holographic sights, foregrips, bipods, slings, and bayonets, etc. The position of the accessory device can be adjusted throughout the length of the toothed rail mounts (2). A central channel (3) is provided throughout the length of the toothed mount rails (2). The central channel (3) facilitates to see iron-sight point which is made at front of the firearm to aim at a target. Through the central channel (3), an alternative medium is provided to an operator to aim at the target after the accessory device which is mounted over the toothed mount rails. The central channel is provided in a shape of, for example, U-shape, V-shape, rectangular, semicircular, etc. A spring-loaded holder (4) is provided at the front end of the covering body (1) to facilitate securing of the covering body (1) with the groove of the firearm. Channel (5) is provided at the rear end of the covering body (1) to accommodate a sliding block (6) therein. The sliding block (6) is provided to hold the recoil spring lever of the firearm therewith. A hole (7) is provided at end of the covering body (1) to allow passage of the front end of the recoil spring lever. Adjusting / locking means (8) is provided over the channel (5) such that to adjust the position of the covering body (1) manually and to lock the same as and when required by an operator. A guiding slot (9) is provided at one side of the covering body to facilitate the bullet loading lever of the firearm.
In another embodiment, the shape of the covering body is adapted according to the shape of a firearm body or provided a shape which is suited to a firearm.
Referring to figure 2, an exploded view of the spring-loaded holder is shown. A housing (10) is provided at the front end of the covering body (1) to secure the spring-loaded holder (4) therein. The spring-loaded holder (4) comprises a lever (11) having a sharp front end (12) and a flat back end (13). Pivot point (14) of the lever (11) is secured pivotally at the wall of the housing (10) with the help of a pivot pin (15). Springs (16) are loaded between the backside of the lever (11) and the housing (10) such that holding load is provided at the front end of the lever (11) when the spring-loaded holder (4) holds the covering body (1) with the groove of the firearm.
Referring to figure 3, an exploded view of the sliding block (6) and the adjusting / locking means (8) are shown. The sliding block (6) is provided to be inserted from the lower end of the channel (5). A U-shaped part (17) is provided at upper end of the channel (5). The adjusting / locking means (8) are provided in the U-shaped part (17) such that the length between the sliding block (6) and the U-shaped part (17) is increased and decreased with the help of the adjusting / locking means (8). The adjusting and locking means (8) comprises a rotor (18) adapted to be accommodated in the U-shaped part (17) of the covering body (1). A threaded pin (19) is inserted in the centre of the rotor (18) and in U shaped part (17) rotatably. A grub screw (20) is adapted to lock the rotation of the rotor with respect to the threaded pin (19). The threaded part of the threaded pin (19) is screwed with a female threaded hole provided at the sliding block (6). The rotation of the rotor (18) (clockwise and anti-clockwise) pushes the sliding block (6) upward and downward in the channel so as to adjust the position of the covering body. A click ball screw (21) is provided with the U-shaped part (17) such that to provide the stepped rotation of the rotor (18).
The sliding bock (6) (Also, shown in fig. 4(A)) is made in a shape such that the sliding block (6) can slide in the channel (5). The female threaded hole (22) is provided at the upper side of the sliding block (6) that is to be screwed by threaded part of the threaded pin (19). The rotor (18) (Also, shown in fig. 4(B)) have a female threaded hole (23) at the peripheral of the rotor towards its centre to screw the grub screw (20) therein. Multiples ball bores (24) are provided over the upper surface of the rotor (18) to slide the click ball screw (21) therein so as to lock the rotation. Grips (25) are provided over the peripheral of the rotor (18) to easily rotate the rotor (18) by hand. The threaded pin (19) (Also, shown in fig. 4(C)) has a head part (26) which is provided to be inserted in the U shaped part (17) rotatably, cut lock part (27) is provided to lock the rotor (18) rotation with respect to the threaded pin (19), and threaded part (28) is provided to be screwed in the female threaded hole (22). The click ball screw (21) (Also, shown in fig. 4(D)) has a housing (29) to secure the ball (30) movably therein.
The device is installed by pressing the lever from the rear end and inserting the spring-loaded holder into the groove provided on the firearm. By pushing the device from the backside it will slide and fit into the step on the firearm. make sure the recoil spring lever comes out from the hole provided at the rear end of the device. rotate the rotor and adjust the movable part to lock with the recoil spring lever at the desired place for use with the firearm.

Various modifications of the example embodiments as well as other embodiments of the invention, which are apparent to the persons skilled in the art to which the invention pertains, are deemed to lie within the spirit and scope of the invention.
