Method And System For Improving Cold Strength Properties Of Metallurgical Coke
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and a system for improving cold strength properties of metallurgical coke. The method comprises coating by spraying a coal tar pitch solution on the metallurgical coke maintained at a temperature range of 60℃ - 120℃. Then the coated metallurgical coke may be cooled to room temperature by atmospheric cooling after spraying. The coated metallurgical coke exhibits improved cold strength properties such as increased fragmentation resistance (M40) of 98%, reduced abrasion resistance (M10) of 2% and arithmetic mean size (AMS) deterioration up to 4.5%
