Taphole Mix

Abstract: [Problem] It is intended to improve a taphole length in a taphole mix using tar as a binder. [Solution] Provided is a taphole mix prepared by adding tar to a refractory material and kneading a resulting mixture, wherein the additive amount of the tar is 15 mass% to 25 mass% with respect to and in addition to 100 mass% of the refractory material, and the content of ß-resin in the tar is 7 mass% to 20 mass% in terms of a percent to 100 mass% of the tar.
