The present invention in particular relates to a system and method for automatic generation of open/close signals for door operation during CO2 tests & climatic chamber test of air conditioning system vehicle more particularly on isolated single metro car.
DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART:
[002] In railway industry, to evaluate the performance of HVAC for airflow, CO2 levels and energy utilization, Climatic chamber test is conducted to simulate the actual heat load through simulated heater and turbulators. In order to calculate the Energy consumption of the HVAC, test condition will be simulated as same in the running line, The HVAC is operated in similar conditions of a train running profile, and the simulation of door opening is done as per platform dwell time, but in normal case when this is done manually there will be delay causing error in the energy values logged causing failure of the system. Non-compliance of SEC (Specific Energy Consumption) target incur huge penalty.

[021] Figure 2 shows flowchart according to the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
[022] The present invention provides a system and method for automatic generation of open/close signals for door operation during CO2 tests & climatic chamber test of air conditioning system vehicle more particularly on isolated single metro car (Fig. 1(b)).
[023] As the CO2 tests & climatic chamber tests will be conducted on isolated single metro car and door open/close cycles are necessary during these tests, it helps to generate door open (2)/ door close (3) signals as required through automated process.
[024] The door open signals (2) / door close signals (3) are automatically generated using programmable logic controller & DC relay terminal blocks (1) based on round trip time as taken by a metro train to complete the trip in a particular line where in door open/close cycles are involved at every station. This method facilitates automatic generation of door open/close signals which can be extended to Door Control Units (4) of single metro car (5) for opening and closing the doors (7) as required during CO2 tests and climatic chamber tests of air conditioning system (6) vehicle more particularly on isolated single metro car (5). The fig.1 depicts the arrangement for the same as described above. Climatic chamber tests are necessary to validate the cooling performance and Specific Energy consumption of Air conditioning system vehicle. Energy consumption depends on the heat load inside the car which varies significantly during door open and door close at every station. This invention facilitates automatic door operation (open/close) in isolated single metro car without any manual operation and optimizes the delay in open/close of door manually to derive the exact Energy parameters during test and also to reduces the human efforts as tests are of long duration.
[025] The invention is intended to provide consistency of the test and also improves repeatability.
[026] Automatic generation of door open/close signals in synchronization to running profile of the train during CO2 tests and climatic chamber tests. Optimize the delay in manual open/close of door to derive the exact energy parameters during test and also to reduces the human efforts as tests are of long duration.
[027] This invention can be used with any type of run profiles of the metro trains where automatic door open/close operation is needed during testing.
[028] The controller analyzes route profile data (round trip time) of a metro line and provides the digital output at regular intervals (at every station stop) to energize DC relays and in turn generates Door open/close signals automatically for Door operation during CO2 tests & climatic chamber test of air conditioning system on isolated single metro car. Refer Fig. 1 and Fig. 2.
[029] Numerous modifications and adaptations of the system of the present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art, and thus it is intended by the appended claims to cover all such modifications and adaptations which fall within the true spirit and scope of this invention.
