Novel Fractional Acid Hydrolysis Process/Method For The Production Of Fermentable Sugars From Lignocellulosic Biomass.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel process for producing fermentable sugars (xylose and glucose) separately from the materials consisting hemicellulose and cellulose as carbohydrate source using a novel fractional acid hydrolysis reactor system. The fermentable sugars are useful in high value added products production like bioethanol (2G-ethanol) through fermentation.
