Disconnect Switch Management In A Power Receiver
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for a safety mechanism and related operations in an appliance having a Power Receiver (PRx) of a wireless power system. Aspects of this disclosure enable the Power Receiver to determine the status of the disconnect switch based on an electrical measurement of a relay coil of the disconnect switch. The Power Receiver can verify that the disconnect switch is in the closed position before transitioning to a power state. In some aspects, the Power Receiver can determine whether a harvested bias power is sufficient to close the disconnect switch before transitioning to the power state.
