A Process For Obtaining Lead And Zinc Concentrates From A Multi Metallic Ore

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for obtaining lead and zinc concentrates from a multi metallic ore. The process comprising floating a slurry of the multi-metallic iron ore, wherein the step of floating is carried out in a differential floating circuit, and wherein the differential floating comprises adding zinc depressant, optionally a graphite depressant, pyrite depressant, collector, and frother to obtain lead and zinc concentrates, wherein a mixture of sodium humate and dithiophosphate is present as the pyrite depressant and a silver/lead promoter. The present disclosure also relates to a reagent comprising a mixture of sodium humate and dithiophosphate is present as the pyrite depressant and a silver/lead promoter.
