Abstract: HALL SENSORLESS HUB MOTOR WITH TEMPERATURE SENSORS ON WINDINGS An “NTC/PTC Thermistor” is attached to the sensor-less hub motor to detect the variation in temperature across the sensor-less hub motor, or to directly evaluate the internal winding temperature of a motor during real time working of the motor. The NTC/PTC Thermistor is positioned on the lamination stack, between adjacent lamination stacks, and a portion of the NTC/PTC Thermistor is in contact with the winding wire, for detecting the temperature change across the sensor-less hub motor. In an example embodiment, either NTC Thermistors alone, PTC thermistors alone, or a combination of NTC thermistors, and PTC thermistors is installable on the lamination stacks and the winding wires.
