Abstract: ABSTRACT “An active print head protection and capping station” The present invention relates to an active print head protection device and capping station comprising with a capping base plate having four LM Rods 5 (Linear Motion Rods) mounted on every corner of the capping base plate, a spring is fixed on every LM Rod, a stepper motor is installed on the capping base plate a cam is installed for moving the sealing parts and active humidification part to engage and disengage with print head connected through a shaft that is further connected to a stepper motor with the help of a coupler, a knob is fixed on the 10 shaft for moving the cam manually, a limit switch is installed on the capping base plate to give bottom home signal to stepper motor, characterized in that a humidification part is installed above the LM Rods including a frame capping top, a seal and a small moisturizing liquid tank consists of active atomizing elements.
We claim,
1. An active print head protection device and capping station (1) comprising with
a capping base plate (10) having four LM Rods (Linear Motion Rods) (20)
mounted on every corner of the capping base plate (10), a spring (30) is fixed on
5 every LM Rod, a stepper motor (40) is installed on the capping base plate (10),
a cam (50) is installed for moving and adjusting the height of sealing parts and
active humidification part to engage and disengage with print head connected
through a shaft (60) and further connected to a stepper motor (40) with the help
of a coupler (70), a knob (80) is fixed on the shaft for moving the cam (50)
10 manually, a limit switch (90) is installed on the capping base plate (10) to give
bottom home signal to stepper motor (40), characterised in that
a humidification part (100) is installed above the LM Rods (20) including a frame
capping top (110), a seal (120) and a small moisturizing liquid tank (130)
consisting of an active atomizing elements (140).

2. The active print head protection device and capping station (1) as claimed in
claim 1, wherein the LM Rods (Linear Motion Rods) (20) mounted on each
corner of the base plate (10) that include a spring (30) to provide accuracy and
reduction of friction for better efficiency of the stepper motor (40).

3. The active print head protection device and capping station (1) as claimed in
claim 1, wherein the cam (50) is installed on the shaft (60) to move and adjust
the height of sealing parts and active humidification part (100) to engage and
disengage with print head.

4. The active print head protection device and capping station (1) as claimed in
claim 1, wherein the stepper motor (40) is fixed on the base plate (10) and
connected through a shaft (60) with the help of a coupler (70) to move the cam

5. The active print head protection device and capping station (1) as claimed in
claim 1, wherein the knob (80) is fixed on the shaft (60) for moving the cam (50)
manually in case of electrical part failure or electricity failure.
5 6. The active print head protection device and capping station (1) as claimed in
claim 1, wherein the limit switch (90) is installed on the capping base plate (10)
to give bottom home signal to stepper motor (40).
7. The active print head protection device and capping station (1) as claimed in
10 claim 1, wherein the humidification part (100) installed above the LM Rods (20)
and further comprises with a frame capping top (110) including a seal (120) made
of wide foamy silicone sealing material and a small moisturizing liquid tank
(130) consisting of active atomizing elements (140) to produce the tiny
molecular drops and create artificial cloud to keep the nozzles moisturised.
