Abstract: . Abstract This Methodology is designed to retrieve the damaged Barrel/Cap (1) of Hydraulic Filter. The Barrel/Cap (1) of Hydraulic Filter are getting damaged at hexagonal portion during opening and .closing for periodic change of Filter element and this damaged hexagon is retrieved by. this methodology. As per this methodology, damaged hexagonal portion of Barrel/Cap (1) to be replaced by Hexagonal Nut (2) of stainless steel material. Damaged Barrel/Cap is machined to make thread to tighten a new Hexagonal Nut of steel and lock them with three Pin (3) of steel using ecobond adhesive.

- Machining of the damaged Hexagonal portion of Barrel/Cap (1) of
Hydraulic Filter to make left hand threads and ·localized
anodizing/a/chrome is done on the threads;
- Manufacturing a hexagonal m:1t (2) by using stainless steel
material with intern·al left-hand thread;
- Manufacturing of three no. of pins (3) with stainless steel material;
-Tightening of the hexagonal nut (2) on the thread of Barre/(1) with

- Drilling of three holes at intersection surfaces of Nut (2) and Barrel
(1) at 120° equally spaced position at diagonal location of Nut (2).
During drilling it is ensured that puncture of hole is not permitted
from the other face.
- Fitment of these stainless steel pins (3) in above machined three
holes with ecobond adhesive. Flushing of protruded pins (3) from
nut (2)/ barrel (1) surface and apply of a/chrome on bare surfaces.
