An Armrest For A Vehicle

Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: “AN ARMREST FOR A VEHICLE” Present disclosure discloses an armrest comprising a base member (102) and at least one hinge (105) attached to the base member. The hinge (105) includes an aperture (106) to receive a roller (108). A cushion member (103) is mounted to the base member. A support plate (110) is connected to the base member to facilitate pivoting of the base member about the support plate between a fixed position (FP) and a stowed position (SP). The support plate comprises at least one pair of guide members (112) to receive at least one spring loaded plunger (116) and at least one rail (114) to movably accommodate the roller. The spring-loaded plunger is configured to lift the base member above the support plate and actuate the roller to linearly displace the base member on the support plate upon movement of the base member from the fixed position to the stowed position. Fig. 2 is a representative figure.
