DESC:Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a shilajit infused hard candy composition. The present invention provides a convenient and palatable means to harness the anti-aging benefits and antioxidative properties/rasayana properties of shilajit, addressing the growing concerns of an aging global population and the imperative need for innovative, effective, and easily consumable remedies.

Background of the Invention
The modern world grapples with an escalating aging population, which brings forth an array of challenges, including oxidative stress, compromised well-being, elevated healthcare costs and ultra-fast but dynamic life canvas. This demographic shift is fueled by factors such as unhealthy dietary habits, sedentary lifestyles, environmental pollutants, and the mounting pressures of modern living. These factors collectively contribute to premature aging, resulting in increased healthcare demands and diminished quality of life for a substantial portion of the global population. This necessitates the development of innovative approaches that amalgamate the ancient wisdom of holistic systems with the demands of contemporary living.

The global aging phenomenon necessitates a paradigm shift in addressing age-related concerns. The World Health Organization projects that the number of individuals aged 60 and above will escalate to an astonishing 2 billion by 2050, nearly tripling from 900 million in 2015. This demographic transition is particularly pronounced in countries like India, where the elderly population has grown considerably. The burgeoning aging population has far-reaching economic implications, impacting healthcare systems, social insurance, and the workforce. Thus, there is an urgent need for holistic and effective solutions that not only address the physical and mental challenges of aging but also mitigate the associated economic burdens.

Summary of the Invention
In one general aspect, the present invention provides an oral composition of shilajit in the form of a candy wherein the oral preparation comprises shilajit extract, confectionary ingredients sugar, syrups, flavoring agents, sweetening agents.
In an embodiment of the above aspect, the shilajit extract is present in an amount of about 2% to about 10%, preferably about 3% to about 7% by weight of the candy composition.
In an embodiment of the above aspect, the sugar is pharma grade sugar. The sugar is present in an amount of about 40% to about 60%, preferably about 45% to about 55% by weight of the candy composition.
In another embodiment of the above aspect, the syrup is liquid glucose. The syrup is present in an amount of about 25% to about 35% by weight of the candy composition.
In yet another embodiment of the above aspect, the flavoring and sweetening agents are present in an amount of about 0.01% to about 2.0 % by weight of the candy composition.
In another general aspect, the present invention provides a process for preparation of an oral preparation of shilajit wherein the process comprises:
a) weighed amounts of sugars, corn syrup, water and flavoring/sweetening agent are blended to form the base mixture.
b) the above mixture is heated to specific temperatures, ensuring complete dissolution of the ingredients.
c) shilajit extract is then introduced into the heated mixture, and blended to achieve an even distribution.
d) the heated mixture is carefully poured onto a cooling surface, allowing it to solidify while maintaining optimal texture.
e) shaping the solidified mixture into the shape of a candy, and
f) finalized candy is individually wrapped to prevent adhesion and maintain freshness, followed by storage in suitable conditions.

Detailed Description of the Invention
This invention serves as a groundbreaking convergence of ancient Ayurvedic insights with modern culinary techniques. It introduces a novel method of integrating Shilajit, a revered substance from the Himalayas known for its Rasayana (age-defying and antioxidative) properties, into the realm of confectionery. By encapsulating the essence of Shilajit within a delectable hard candy, this innovation provides a novel and convenient way to experience the numerous benefits of this natural remedy, effectively bridging the wisdom of the past with the requirements of the present.
At the core of Shilajit efficacy is its remarkable impact at the cellular level, particularly on DNA integrity. The oxidative stress caused by free radicals accelerates the aging process and contributes to a myriad of degenerative diseases. Shilajit’s constituents, including humic and fulvic acids, as well as oxygenated dibenzo-alpha-pyrones, exhibit a unique ability to shield mitochondrial DNA from oxidative damage. As the primary powerhouse for cellular energy production, the preservation of mitochondrial DNA has far-reaching implications for promoting overall well-being and longevity.
The compositions of the invention offers advantages like providing benefits of modern technology combined with the wisdom of Ayurveda and addresses the pressing concerns of an aging global population, aligning with the needs of modern lifestyles and the demands of longevity. The present invention precisely provides shilajit’s antioxidative and age-defying properties in a convenient, delectable format accessible to a wide audience. The easy to consume candy provides immense convenience to the user as an easy consumable form that would help to complete therapy schedules.
The preparation of shilajit-infused hard candy involves a meticulous process:
a) Ingredients: weighed amounts of sugars, corn syrup, water and flavoring/sweetening agents are blended to form the base mixture.
b) Cooking Process: The mixture is heated to specific temperatures, ensuring complete dissolution of the ingredients.
c) Incorporating Shilajit: Shilajit extract is introduced into the mixture, meticulously blended to achieve even distribution.
d) Cooling and Shaping: The heated mixture are carefully poured onto a cooling surface, allowing it to solidify while maintaining optimal texture.
e) Quality Control: Rigorous quality checks are conducted to ensure the candy meets stringent taste, texture, and appearance standards.
f) Packaging and Storage: The finalized candy is individually wrapped to prevent adhesion and maintain freshness, followed by storage in suitable conditions.
