Bonding Fixture For Double Convex Aircraft Window.

Abstract: Bonding Fixture for Double Convex Aircraft Window is made up of Upper Plate (2), Lower Plate (1), Ring (3) and Commercially available Toggle clamp. Upper plate (2) and Lower Plate (1) are fixed with dowel bolts (7). The Fixture, is used to facilitate bonding operation of first lens (4) and second lens (5) of Double Convex Aircraft Window. At the start of bonding operation first lens (4) is to be placed on plate assembly (1 & 2), after application of adhesive on first lens (4) second lens (5) is kept on first lens (4) at applied adhesive peripheral area (6). The ring (3) is placed on the second lens (5) and fixed in position with commercially available toggle-clamp suitably. Hence the Bonding operation is completed. This invention reduces the lead time of bonding process of lenses and increases the positional accuracy. To be published along with Figure-4
