Abstract: A pillar trim mounting structure (100) of a vehicle is disclosed. The pillar trim mounting structure (100) comprises a body panel (102) and a pillar trim (104) being mounted on the body panel (102). The pillar trim (104) comprises a plurality of positioning features (106) formed on a first side (104a) of the pillar trim (104) and laterally extend from the pillar trim (104). The body panel (102) defines a plurality of slots (108) configured to receive the plurality of positioning features (106) to provide a datum point for mounting the pillar trim (104) onto the body panel (102). The presence of positioning features (106) on the pillar trim and corresponding slots (108) on the body panel allows for precise alignment during installation. This ensures that the pillar trim is correctly positioned, enhancing the vehicle's aesthetic appeal.
