Distillation Column Internals Design For 2 G Ethanol Bio Refinery With Very Low Lignin Biomass Feed
Abstract: The present invention provides a detailed overview of the novel Lignin laden stillage management system with an opposing flow sieve tray, highlighting its components, functionalities, and the transformative impact it offers to distillation tower operations. The present invention provides a pioneering solution – the Lignin laden stillage management system with an opposing flow sieve tray – designed to address the challenges of the prior arts and elevate distillation tower performance. The dynamic washing cycle, triggered periodically, ensures the cleanliness and sustained functionality of the sieves. The Lignin laden stillage management system offers a spectrum of advantages, including efficient bio-mass collection, dynamic maintenance, continuous tower operation, optimized liquid flow management, reduced disruptions, enhanced system resilience, and increased sustainability. These benefits collectively contribute to improved operational efficiency, reduced downtime, and elevated environmental sustainability in industrial processes. Figure 9.
