Abstract: The present invention provides an optical fiber cable (100) comprising a sheath layer (120) comprising a plurality of strength members (130) embedded in the sheath layer (120). The plurality of strength members (130) comprise at least a first group of strength members (130a) and a second group of strength members (130b). The optical fiber cable (100) provides for improved bending resilience, mechanical strength, resistance to external forces without compromised signal transmission or reduced flexibility. Fig. 1
