Description:Field of the Invention
This invention relates to IoT assisted Smart drug Inventory maintenance & monitoring system
Background of the Invention
Manual maintenance of medicines ledger records in medical stores and pharmacy requires huge amount of human labor and precision, at times due to human error there are chances of either over stocking or understocking of the medicines available in the pharmacy. This results in wastage of medicine as well as shortage of medicines. Furthermore, overstocking might result in the expiration dates of medicines costing the medical store and pharmacy in huge amount of revenue. There is requirement of developing an automated inventory system that could maintain and monitor the stock with all the details using IoT based technologies.
CN103400255A The invention discloses a logistics real-time tracking supervision method and a system. The system comprises a transportation device, an RFID (radio frequency identification device) label, a wireless radio frequency reader-writer, a supervision control device, a monitoring center, a warming device, a photographic device and a positioning and navigation module, wherein the wireless radio frequency reader-writer is used for detecting the RFID label to obtain the real-time information of an article; as the photographic device is arranged on the transportation device, and an image analysis module connected with a control host is arranged on the supervision control device, the face information and pre-stored head portrait information of a transportation person are obtained; the positioning and navigation module is mounted on the transportation device to obtain the running state information of the transportation device. By utilizing the innovative advantages, the invention provides the logistics real-time tracking supervision system which is more effective for supervision, stable in performance and reliable
Research Gap: The proposed device will help to maintain the Temperature and humidity around the medicine to avoid effects from high temperature.
WO2016061560A1 An automated tracking system for a pharmacy that maintains each medication's Unique Drug Identifier ("UDI") information from the stock supply container to individual prescriptions filled therefrom. The UDI information automatically travels with each individual prescription until it is dispensed to a customer or patient, thereby allowing the medication contained therein to be returned to stock without risk of losing key information about the medication such as its expiration date and the like. In disclosed embodiments, the computer system can monitor key UDI information of the stock supply containers and the individual filled prescriptions to promote use of medications expiring sooner than others in the pharmacy, locate, track and promote use of returned to stock medications that have not been returned to the supply containers, and prevent the dispensing of expired or about to expire medications.
Research Gap: The system maintains the medicine stock like how much stock we have available, stock of medicine that has been sold, and how much medicine we have to order, and there also we have cameras to monitor the stock and via internet all the footage will display on the LCD display as well as on Web application.
JP2019135632A To enable more reliable quality assurance at medical institutions and reduce distribution costs of an entire industry by using a common medicine inventory management system for a plurality of distributors.SOLUTION: A common medicine inventory management system includes: environmental maintenance storage means for storing medicines while maintaining environmental conditions; storage environment detection means for acquiring information related to the environmental conditions; storage state detection means for detecting that the medicines are stored by the environmental maintenance storage means; delivery instruction means for instructing delivery of the medicines for standard delivery sources; delivery instruction distribution means that distributes the delivery instructions into the standard delivery instructions for standard delivery sources and non-standard delivery instructions for non-standard delivery sources; delivery processing means for delivering all medicines related to the delivery instructions to the delivery destinations of the medicines; and delivery information transmission means for transmitting information to the non-standard delivery destinations that the medicines related to the non-standard delivery instructions have been delivered by the delivery processing means.
Research gap: Here bar code scanner will scan the expiry date of medicine and when we have fewer stock then there is a buzzer which produce a sound. The system consists of humidity sensor, temperature sensor, weight sensor, expiry date detection sensor, cameras, Display, app, and unique id identifier.
