A Sensor Assmebly Of A Vehicle

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to sensor assembly of a vehicle. The sensor assembly comprises a sensor having a sensor element which is disposed within a housing. The housing is defined with a collar. A boss is fixedly coupled to a manifold of an engine. The boss includes an external surface having an external threaded portion. Further, a nut is defined with a central hole and an inner annular face having an internal threaded portion co-operable with the external threaded portion. The nut is receivable over the collar about the central hole to removably couple the sensor within the boss and position the sensor element within an opening of the manifold. The boss is defined with at least one undercut groove to create a barrier to thermal energy transfer from the manifold to the internal threaded portion and the external threaded portion.
