An Anti Tipping Sensor System For A Vehicle Wheel And A Method Thereof

Abstract: The present invention describes an anti-tipping sensor system for a vehicle (200). The anti-tipping sensor system according to the present invention comprises a housing (116) mounted on a frame of the vehicle (200); said housing (116) having at least one mounting surface and at least one slanting surface (114); a sensor assembly, said sensor assembly is mounted on the housing (116) over the slanting surface (114), said sensor assembly is configured to be activated at a tipping point, wherein the tipping point is reached at an angular displacement of vehicle (200), when the slanting surface (114) is elevated substantially parallel to the plane surface; and an engine control unit (ECU) (112) is coupled to the vehicle tachometer and the sensor assembly, said engine control unit (ECU) (112) is configured to receive a signal (110) from said sensor assembly upon being activated, said signal (110) indicates a risk of the wheel tipping; wherein said engine control unit (ECU) (112), upon receiving the signal (110) from said sensor assembly, determines the speed and acceleration of the vehicle (200) and the ECU (112) is configured to perform at least one or more operation to prevent wheel tipping, when the speed and acceleration of the vehicle (200) exceeds a predetermined threshold.
