THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES THE INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
[001] The present invention is directed to a vehicle comprising a wireless device charger.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
[002] Generally speaking, a vehicle such as a two wheeled vehicle or a saddled type vehicle is provided with a variety of accessories which helps a rider of the vehicle. One such accessory which is disposed on the vehicle is a charger unit which can be used for charging a battery-operated device that may be carried by rider of the vehicle. Typically, a charger port is provided in the vehicle to which the battery-operated device is connected vide a wire-based connector. However, there are substantial disadvantages associated with providing a charger port on the vehicle. Attempts to provide a wireless charger unit on a two wheeled vehicle which will be used for charging a battery-operated device have been made but have faced a lot of challenges. Thus, there exists a need to overcome one or more of the aforesaid disadvantages.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[003] This Summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further described below in the Detailed Description. This Summary is not intended to identify key or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended to be used as an aid in determining the scope of the claimed subject matter.
[004] Accordingly, the present invention provides a vehicle, comprising a frame structure supporting at least one ground engaging member, a power generating unit supplying driving power to the at least one ground engaging member, and a fuel tank providing fuel to the power generating unit. The vehicle further comprises at least one seat supported by the frame structure. The at least one seat provides a seating arrangement for at least a rider of the vehicle and comprises a front tip portion. The vehicle further comprises a compartment supported by the frame structure. The compartment comprises a first tip portion and a second tip portion and is located below the at least one seat. The vehicle further comprises a wireless device charger located within the compartment.
[005] In an embodiment of the invention, the front tip portion of the at least one seat is located between the first tip portion and the second tip portion of the compartment.
[006] In another embodiment of the invention, the compartment is disposed on a right-hand side of the vehicle.
[007] In yet another embodiment of the invention, the fuel tank is between the at least one seat and a steering handle bar.
[008] In still another embodiment of the invention, the first tip portion of the compartment is located below fuel tank in a side view of the vehicle and the second tip portion of the compartment is located rearward of the fuel tank in a side view of the vehicle.
[009] In a further embodiment of the invention, the wireless device charger comprises a casing and a first lid member.
[0010] In a furthermore embodiment of the invention, the casing defines a first space, a second space and at least a first aperture; and the first lid member provides access to the second space in a first state and restricting access to the second space in a second state.
[0011] In an embodiment of the invention, the first space removably accommodates a wireless device; and the second space securely accommodates a wireless charger unit, which charges the wireless device.
[0012] In another embodiment of the invention, the wireless device charger further comprises an electrical cable supplying electrical energy to the wireless charger unit.
[0013] In yet another embodiment of the invention, the electrical cable traverses to the second space from a portion outside of the casing via the first aperture.
[0014] In still another embodiment of the invention, the compartment comprises a side wall, a top wall extending from the side wall, a front wall extending from the side wall, and a rear wall extending from the side wall.

The electric vehicle further comprises at least one seat supported by the frame structure. The at least one seat provides a seating arrangement for at least a rider of the vehicle and comprises a front tip portion. The electric vehicle further comprises a compartment supported by the frame structure. The compartment comprises a first tip portion and a second tip portion and is located below the at least one seat. The electric vehicle further comprises a wireless device charger located within the compartment.

[0026] Another advantage of the invention is that the construction of the wireless device charger is substantially simple and cost effective, therefore making it easy and economical to provide it in the vehicle or in the electric vehicle.
[0027] Yet another advantage of the invention is that the construction of the wireless device charger also allows for easy insertion and removal of the wireless device therefrom.
[0028] Still another advantage of the invention, is that the placement of the wireless device charger on the vehicle or the electric vehicle is such that both the wireless device charger and the wireless device are securely held and does not experience vibrations during motion of the vehicle or the electric vehicle.

The frame body (12) further supports a power generating unit (18) which supplies driving power to at least one ground engaging member (14, 16). In an embodiment of the invention, the power generating unit (18) may be an internal combustion engine. The frame body (12) further supports a fuel tank (38) which supplies fuel to the power generating unit (18). The frame body (12) steerably supports a steering mechanism (20). The steering mechanism (20) comprises a front fork (22) which rotatably receives the front ground engaging member (14) at a bottom end. The front fork (22) receives a steering handle bar (24) at a top end thereof. The front ground engaging member (14) can be steered using the steering handle bar (24).
[0052] The vehicle (10) further comprises at least one seat (36) supported by the frame structure (12), the at least one seat (36) comprising a front tip portion (40). The at least one seat (36) typically provides seating arrangement for at least one rider of the vehicle (10). Typically, the fuel tank (38) is disposed between the at least one seat (36) and the steering handle bar (24).The vehicle (10) further comprises a head light (30) which may be disposed above the front ground engaging member (14) and a tail light (32) which may be disposed above the rear ground engaging member (16). Referring to Figure 2, there is illustrated a view of the vehicle (10) wherein the second lid member (72) has been removed with regard to the compartment (42). It can be clearly seen from Figure 2 that the compartment (42) in particular defines a wireless device charger (100) is placed on the right-hand side of the vehicle (10). The second lid member (72) comprises a looking mechanism (80) to lock the second lid member (72) with the compartment (42).
[0056] Referring to Figure 3, the compartment (42) further comprises a side wall (62) defining the inner side of the compartment (42). Also there exists a top wall (64), a rear wall (68) and a front wall (66) extending from the side wall (62) co-operating to define a third space (70) which accommodates the wireless device charger (100). The side wall (62) further comprises a first attachment member (74) extending towards the second lid member (72).
[0057] Referring to Figure 4,it can be clearly seen that the wireless device charger (100) is connected to the side wall (62) with at least a second counter attachment member (76) specifically, three in the shown embodiment two on rear side and one on the front side to support the wireless device charger (100) in the compartment (42) in case of motion of the vehicle (10) to prevent vibration of the wireless device charger (100). It can be clearly seen from the Figure 4, that the wireless device charger (100) further comprises a wireless charging unit (110) capable of charging a wireless device (48) (shown in Fig. 6) within a casing (102). Also, there exists a second aperture (78) given in the side wall (62) of the compartment (42).
[0058] Referring to Figure 5, a detailed view of the wireless device charger (100)clearly showingthat the wireless device charger (100) further comprises an electrical cable (112) supplying electrical energy by connecting it to the battery unit of the vehicle (10) outside of the compartment (42). The electrical cable (112) passes through the second aperture (78). The wireless charging unit (110) may charge the wireless device (48) using magnetic induction or any other known wireless charging technology available in the industry.
[0059] Figure 6, describes the wireless device charger (100) in detail with a first space (104) and a second space (106) within a casing (102). The first space (104) is provided to accommodate the wireless device (48) and the second space (106) is provided to accommodate a wireless charging unit (110). The casing (102) of the wireless device charger (100) further comprises a first lid member (114) to prevent the wireless charging unit (110) moving from its place while the vehicle (10) is in a second statewhich is of driving and allowing the wireless charging unit (110) to be accessible in a first state which is of changing or repairing of the wireless charging unit (110). The casing (102) also comprises a first aperture (108) provided to let the electrical cable (112) to pass connecting the wireless charging unit (110) to the battery unit of the vehicle (10) placed outside the compartment (42).

The frame structure (202) further supports an upper cowl element (228) provided to cover the at least one battery (210).

[0067] An advantage of the invention is that there is provided a wireless device charger (100) which can charge charging a battery of the wireless device (48). This leads to ease for rider in the case of longer rides or high frequency of rides by same rider or a combination of both of such cases.
[0068] Another advantage of the invention is that the construction of the wireless device charger (100) is substantially simple and cost effective, therefore making it easy and economical to provide it in the vehicle (10) or in the electric vehicle (200).
[0069] Yet another advantage of the invention is that the construction of the wireless device charger (100) also allows for easy insertion and removal of the wireless device (48) therefrom. Being wireless makes it easy to start the charging and cutting it off making it faster considering it an in-vehicle feature.

1. A vehicle (10), comprising:
a frame structure (12) supporting at least one ground engaging member (14, 16), a power generating unit (18) supplying driving power to the at least one ground engaging member (14, 16), and a fuel tank (38) providing fuel to the power generating unit (18);
at least one seat (36) being supported by the frame structure (12), the at least one seat (36) comprising a front tip portion (40);
a compartment (42) supported by the frame structure (12), the compartment (42) comprising a first tip portion (44) and a second tip portion (46), the compartment (42) being located below the at least one seat (36); and
a wireless device charger (100) located within the compartment (42).
2. The vehicle (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one of:
the front tip portion (40) of the at least one seat (36) being located between the first tip portion (44) and the second tip portion (46) of the compartment (42);
the compartment (42) being disposed on a right-hand side of the vehicle (10); and
the fuel tank (38) disposed between the at least one seat (36) and a steering handle bar (24), the first tip portion (44) of the compartment (42) being located below fuel tank (38) in a side view of the vehicle and the second tip portion (46) of the compartment (42) being located rearward of the fuel tank (38) in a side view of the vehicle.
3. The vehicle (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one of:
the wireless device charger (100) comprises:
a casing (102) defining a first space (104), a second space (106) and at least a first aperture (108); the first space (104) removably accommodating a wireless device (48);
the second space (106) securely accommodating a wireless charger unit (110);
an electrical cable (112) supplying electrical energy to the wireless charger unit (110), the electrical cable (112) traversing to the second space (106) from a portion outside of the casing (102) via the first aperture (108); and
a first lid member (114) providing access to the second space (106) in a first state and restricting access to the second space (106) in a second state;
the compartment (42) comprises:
a side wall (62), a top wall (64) extending from the side wall (62), a front wall (66) extending from the side wall (62),and a rear wall (68) extending from the side wall (62), the side wall (62), the top wall (64), the front wall (66) and the rear wall (68) co-operating to define a third space (70);
a second lid member (72) restricting access to the third space (70) of the compartment (42) in a third state and allowing access to the third space (70) of the compartment (42) in a fourth state; and
the second lid member (72) comprising a locking mechanism (80) to lock the second lid member (72) with respect to the compartment (42).
4. The vehicle (10) as claimed in claim 3, wherein the compartment (42) comprising at least a first attachment member (74) extending from the side wall (62) and towards the second lid member (72) and the wireless device charger (100) being attached to the side wall (62) vide at least a second counter attachment member (76).
5. The vehicle (10) as claimed in claim 3, wherein the compartment (42) comprising at least a second aperture (78) allowing the electrical cable (112) to traverse from a portion outside the compartment (42) from the third space (70).
6. An electric vehicle (200), comprising:
a frame structure (202) supporting at least one ground engaging member (204, 206), a motor (208) supplying driving power to the at least one ground engaging member (204, 206), and at least one battery (210) driving the motor (208);
at least one seat (226) being supported by the frame structure (202), the at least one seat (226) comprising a front tip portion (230);
a compartment (42) supported by the frame structure (202), the compartment (42) comprising a first tip portion (44) and a second tip portion (46), the compartment (42) being located below the at least one seat (226); and
a wireless device charger (100) located within the compartment (42).
7. The electric vehicle (200) as claimed in claim 6, wherein at least one of:
the front tip portion (40) of the at least one seat (36) being located between the first tip portion (44) and the second tip portion (46) of the compartment (42);
the compartment (42) being disposed on a left-hand side of the electric vehicle (200); and
an upper cowl element (228) disposed between the at least one seat (226) and a steering handle bar (214), the first tip portion (44) of the compartment (42) being located below upper cowl element (228) in a side view of the electric vehicle (200) and the second tip portion (46) of the compartment (42) being located rearward of the upper cowl element (228) in a side view of the electric vehicle (200).
8. The electric vehicle (200) as claimed in claim 6, wherein at least one of:
the wireless device charger (100) comprises:
a casing (102) defining a first space (104), a second space (106) and at least a first aperture (108); the first space (104) removably accommodating a wireless device (48);
a wireless charger unit (110) securely accommodated in the second space (106);
an electrical cable (112) supplying electrical energy to the wireless charger unit (110), the electrical cable (112) traversing to the second space (106) from a portion outside of the casing (102) via the first aperture; and
a lid member (114) providing access to the second space (106) in a first state and restricting access to the second space (106) in a second state;
the compartment (42) comprises:

The electric vehicle (200) as claimed in claim 8, wherein the compartment (42) comprising at least a first attachment member (74) extending from the side wall (62) and towards the lid member (72) and the wireless device charger (100) being attached to the side wall (62) vide at least a second counter attachment member (76).
10. The electric vehicle (200) as claimed in claim 8, wherein the compartment (42) comprising at least a second aperture (78) allowing the electrical cable (112) to traverse from a portion outside the compartment (42) from the third space (70).
