An Automatic Spool Changeover System For A Filament Winding Machine And A Method Thereof

Abstract: Described herein is an automatic spool changeover system [200] and a method [300] of initiating spool changeover between a first spool [102] and a second spool [104] of the filament winding machine [100]. The automatic spool changeover system [200] comprises a deflector arrangement [202] having a deflection member [210], and a cutter arrangement [204]. Notably, the deflection member [210] is slidably adjusted between an extended position and a retracted position, to deflect the filament extending between a filament guiding means (not shown) and the first spool [102] towards the cutter arrangement [204] for cutting the filament, thereby allowing winding of the filament on the second spool [104].
