Abstract: ABSTRACT A spinning machine (1) includes: a spinning device (7) configured to generate yarn (Y) by spinning a fiber bundle (F); a bunch winding forming means having a solely-driven drum (22; 53) and a solely-driven yarn guide member (23; 95); a control device (91) configured to perform control to wind the yarn (Y) around an end region (Ba) of a bobbin (B), the end region (Ba) being located outside a package formation region (A2), to form a bunch winding (X) in the end region (Ba) by moving the yarn guide member (23; 95) in an axial direction of the bobbin (B) while rotating the bobbin (B) with the drum (22; 53) at beginning of winding of the yarn (Y); and a slack preventing means configured to prevent the yarn (Y) from slackening during the bunch winding formation.
