Statistical Distance Matrix Calculation Method, And Statistical Distance Matrix Visualization Method, Device, And Program

Abstract: [Problem] To obtain a more precise distance by converting a statistical distance to a statistical distance matrix. [Solution] In the present invention, a processing unit calculates first and second average vectors µµ1 and µµ2 and first and second covariance matrices SS1 and SS2 from first and second vector data aa and bb or first and second matrices or sets AA and BB to be compared, and determines a statistical distance matrix DD, which is an explanatory trace of a statistical distance D defined by the calculation results. The processing unit accumulates local distances related to the statistical distance matrix DD to obtain distance cumulative vectors ff, and converts these to a distance cumulative matrix FF. The processing unit stores the distance cumulative matrix FF or an image based on the distance cumulative matrix FF in a storage unit, or displays the same on a display unit, or outputs the same by means of an output unit. The processing unit can execute a clustering process on the statistical distance matrix DD, and append a cluster label or an element label to the distance cumulative matrix FF.
