Press Device And Method For Manufacturing Press Molded Article

Abstract: A press device 1 is provided with a first mold part 2 having a first processing surface 2a, a second mold part 3 having a second processing surface 3a, a first support part 4 for supporting the first mold part 2, and a second support part 5 for supporting the second mold part 3. At least one mold part of the first mold part 2 and the second mold part 3 has, in at least a portion of an overlap region R1 in which the first processing surface 2a and the second processing surface 3a overlap as viewed from the pressing direction, gaps S1, S2 the dimensions of which in the pressing direction when no load is applied are ununiform in two directions orthogonal as viewed from the pressing direction. The minimum dimensions of the gap S1 in an inside region R1u, which is within center lines each between the center of gravity G of the overlap region R1 and each of the outer edges when no load is applied are smaller than the minimum dimensions of the gap S1 in outside regions R1s when no load is applied.
