Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel additive for a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a lithium secondary battery comprising same, and the additive for a nonaqueous electrolyte contains an ionic compound represented by chemical formula 1 so as to form a film on the surface of electrodes during activation of a secondary battery, thereby preventing a large amount of gas from being generated in a high-temperature condition, and preventing a reduction in OCV of a cell and a decrease in voltage holding ratio, which are caused by metal ions being eluted from electrodes, and thus can effectively improve the durability, performance and high-temperature safety of a battery.
