Stereo Image Processing Device And Image Correction Means

Abstract: The present invention performs calibration of a stereo camera having a wide angle of view with high precision without increasing the size of a chart. This stereo image processing device comprises: a stereo matching unit which performs stereo matching of a plurality of images picked up by an image pickup unit that picks up images of a target object with a plurality of cameras to thereby detect parallax; and a pixel shift correction processing unit which corrects pixel shift caused when the images of the target object are picked up. The angle of view of the image pickup unit has a first angle-of-view range and a second angle-of-view range, which is on the wider-angle side in the horizontal direction than the first angle-of-view range. The pixel shift correction processing unit performs pixel shift correction processing for the second angle-of-view range on the basis of information on the first angle-of-view range.
