Abstract: The resistance spot welded joint according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a plurality of overlapping steel sheets; and a welding unit that has a nugget for joining the steel sheets, as well as a corona bond and a heat-affected zone formed so as to surround the nugget. One or more of the plurality of steel sheets is a high-strength steel sheet having a tensile strength of 780 MPa or greater. One or more of the plurality of sheets is a plated steel sheet having a zinc-based plating. The high-strength steel sheet and the zinc-based plating are adjacent to each other at overlapping surfaces. The diameter of the heat-affected zone is at least 1.5 times the diameter of the nugget. Carbides having an equivalent circle diameter of 0.1 µm or greater are distributed through the heat-affected zone in an amount of 40 per 100 µm2. Within the corona bond, the amount of ? phases of the zinc-based plating is 20 area% or lower.
