Crankshaft And Manufacturing Method Therefor

Abstract: The present invention provides a crankshaft having superior fatigue strength. A crankshaft 10 includes journals 11, pins 12, and fillets 14, wherein each fillet 14 has a residual stress distribution in which the residual stress in a region spanning from the surface to a position at least 300 µm deep is compressive residual stress, the maximum value of the compressive residual stress is 1,000 MPa or more, and the surface roughness Rz is less than 3.00 µm.
