Caliper Body For Vehicular Disc Brake

Abstract: This caliper body for a vehicle disc brake has improved stiffness due to reinforcing ribs while suppressing an increase in weight. A pair of first reinforcing ribs 28, 28 extending out to a disc turn-out side from a cylinder part side are provided to a disc radially outer side and a disc radially inner side of an anti-disc rotor side surface 21h of a turn-out side body part 21g of the caliper body 3. A pair of second reinforcing ribs 29, 29 extending out to a disc turn-in side from the cylinder part side are provided to the disc radially outer side and the disc radially inner side of the anti-disc rotor side surface 21h of a turn-in side body part 21j. A first thinned portion 21i serving as a thin-walled portion is provided to the anti-disc rotor side surface 21h between the pair of first reinforcing ribs 28, 28, and a second thinned portion 21k serving as a thin-walled portion is provided to the anti-disc rotor side surface 21h between the pair of second reinforcing ribs 29, 29.
