Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly in which a first electrode, a separator, and a second electrode are sequentially stacked and wound; and a battery can accommodating the electrode assembly and an electrolyte, wherein the battery can has a bottom portion at one side, an opening portion at the other side opposite to the bottom portion, and a cylindrical sidewall, the electrode assembly has a first end portion from which the first electrode tab is drawn out, and a second end portion from which the second electrode tab is drawn out, the first end portion and the battery can are electrically connected to each other, and the sidewall of the battery can includes an insulation coating layer provided on the inner surface corresponding to the second end portion, includes a second current collector plate electrically connected to the second electrode tab, and includes an insulation member provided between the second current collector plate and the bottom portion of the battery can. Accordingly, the effect of increasing a space that can be secured by the electrode assembly accommodated in the battery can is provided.
