Abstract: A wing immersion rod comprising of a heating Immersion rod including heating coil configured for heating water; a plurality of Flap / wing configured to safeguard said immersion rod from all sides when in closed condition and also to rest the said immersion rod assembly on bucket in open condition; a plurality of support part corresponding to each flap / wing configured for holding said assembly from top; and a Hinge pin connected between said support part allowing to rotate the flap; wherein said flap / wings of the said immersion rod is configured such that during wing/flap open condition, the said immersion rod safely sit in the centre of the bucket, without touching any side of the said bucket and consequently gives uniform heating along the circumference as it is placed centrally.
DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to an accessory immersion rod / heater. More particularly, the present invention is a modified immersion rod including wings for safety configured to be kept on any surface without it burning or leaving a mark.
BACKGROUND ART
In the traditional immersion rod usage in bucket, the rod is hooked up to the bucket as shown in below figure 1A and need to maintain the water level as per marking on the immersion rod but as this immersion rod gets in contact with plastic bucket after hooked up, the bucket may melt at contact area during usage as shown in below figure 1B-I.
Further while usage of immersion rod in bucket is not advisable to use it freely in the bucket as shown in below figure 1B-1, profile itself has tendency not to rest in the bucket. After usage of immersion rod we cannot keep it as it is, we need to allow it to cool which takes more time to cool and then we have to keep it in cupboard or at appropriate area.
As there are chances of injury if anyone touch after usage of immersion rod suddenly, it is hot after usage as shown in figure 1C. Also, the amount of water that we need to maintain in between maximum to minimum as marked on immersion rod.
In case we require less amount of hot water we need to fill the bucket till water level marked which results in cost of electricity even though requirement is less water. Also, time taken to heat the whole bucket against requirement of less water is more.
In the prior art, an Indian specification 4682/CHE/2015 discloses a multi-stand for immersion heater. The specification discloses a multi stand device for immersion heater, wherein the device comprising of a horizontal rectangular bar, a rectangular hole, bolts, a U-shaped clamp, a nut, a washer, an immersion heater hanger, a rubber cork lever, and nuts; the said bolt is attached to U-shaped clamp with help of the washer, and the nut; the said bolt attachment is passed through the rectangular hole of the horizontal rectangular bar; the said bolt attachment is fixed with nuts at the ends; the rubber cork levers are attached to U-shaped clamp through circular holes; wherein the rectangular hole provided on the horizontal rectangular bar is formed for adjusting the U-shaped clamps horizontally with rubber cork levers depending on diameter of a container; the rectangular bar is formed to slide up and down with the help of the horizontal hole, the nut, and the washer; and the immersion heater hanger is formed to hold and adjust the immersion heater depending on depth of the container.
In another prior art an Indian Design application IND337595-001 discloses immersion water heater with danger light.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The principle object of the present invention is to provide safety against the issues during use, wherein with lesser amount of water in bucket and with full amount of water in bucket it can work safely provided the water level on immersion rod is to be maintained.
As per another object, the said rod gives uniform heating as it is placed centrally on the bucket the uniform heating along the circumference. The plastic bucket melting issue gets resolved with this invention.
As per another object, the said wing immersion rod can safely be kept on any surface without it burning or leaving a mark. It overcomes the user safety issue by closed wings after usage. Further the chances of injury to user while using and / or touching compared to traditional immersion rod in minimized.
Therefore, such as herein described there is provided a wing immersion rod comprising of:
a heating Immersion rod including heating coil configured for heating water; a plurality of Flap / wing configured to safeguard said immersion rod from all sides when in closed condition and also to rest the said immersion rod assembly on bucket in open condition; a plurality of support part corresponding to each flap / wing configured for holding said assembly from top; and a Hinge pin connected between said support part allowing to rotate the flap; wherein said flap / wings of the said immersion rod is configured such that during wing/flap open condition, the said immersion rod safely sit in the centre of the bucket, without touching any side of the said bucket and consequently gives uniform heating along the circumference as it is placed centrally.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
As shown in figure 2, the herein disclosed wings of the immersion rod is designed in such a way that it can serve the functions viz.. it can rest on the bucket top surface so that the problem of melting of bucket at rod contact gets resolve as there is no contact of immersion rod and plastic bucket. With wing/flap open – the rod can safely sit in the centre of the bucket, without touching any side of the said bucket. Consequently, it will give uniform heating along the circumferential as it is placed centrally.
The design of wings/flap design is in such a way that after closing the wings it can rest in bucket / on floor. The wings/Flap can withstand the high temperature so that it will not deformed during heating of immersion rod in bucket in closed condition. Also, it can work in less amount of water depending on the bucket size has to fulfill the minimum water level requirements on immersion rod.
The different parts of the said wing immersion rod (figure 2) is mentioned below.
Sr No Part Name Function
1 Immersion rod Heating Immersion rod
2 Flap / wing To rest the assembly on bucket in open and in close condition.
After usage act as a safeguard as immersion rod is hot.
3 Support part_1 Support part for flap / wing & Immersion rod
4 Support part_2 Support part for flap / wing & Immersion rod
5 Support part_3 Support part for flap / wing & Immersion rod
6 Hinge Pin Hinge pin is allowed to rotate the flap
The flap / wing is made up of high temperature resistant plastic material like PTFE, PEEK, PAI, PBI, Bakelite, polyether imide, polyamide /other high temperature sustainable temperature and the like.
After use, the immersion rod can safely be kept on any surface without any burning or leaving a mark for storage. The Rod can be kept standing up or lying down.
INVENTIVE STEP:
1. Overcome existing safety issue associated in immersion rod during usage and after usage.
2. Provides the flexibility in term water quantity heating (with lesser amount of water in bucket and full amount of bucket it can work safely provided water level to maintain on immersion rod.
