Abstract: IDENTIFYING DIRTY AND CLEAN SIDE OF A PAPER DURING PAPER ELEMENT MANUFACTURING ON A PAPER PLEATING MACHINE 5 A method for biometric authorization of operator and identifying dirty and clean side of a paper during paper element manufacturing on a paper pleating machine. The method includes switching on a power supply (301), entering password to popup a screen (303), selecting a model to run from plurality of models (305), loading paper on a paper pleating machine (307), 10 activate a vision system (309), scanning a paper (311), matching an image of the paper with a database (313), activating a biometric system (315), scanning a fingerprint/thumb of an user for authentication (317), starting the machine for production (319). TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present disclosure relates to the operations of a paper pleating machine. More specifically,
10 a method to identify dirty and clean sides of the paper during paper element manufacturing on
a paper pleating machine.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
15 A paper pleating machine is a machine used to create folds, or pleats, in paper materials. These
machines are commonly used in the production of various paper products, such as envelopes,
decorative paper items, packaging materials and air filters for automotive industries.
The paper pleating machine is generally used for producing paper folds of different types,
20 sizes and shapes for air filters which may be used in automotive industries. In the existing
paper pleating machine, the paper material passes through a paper roller of a front workbench
of the paper pleating machine, and goes to the front workbench, and folds the paper material
into the machine under the interaction of an upper and a lower blade, the height at which the
blades overlap is equal to the folding height of the paper material.

For the air filters, the identification of sides of the paper plays an important role in
manufacturing paper for the air filters. The sides of the paper may be a dirty side and a clean
side. Therefore, if selection/identification of the sides (dirty or clean) is wrong, then paper
element will not be manufactured as per specified requirements as the dirty side and clean side
30 specifies the paper direction. Some identification marks are provided on sides of the paper to
