Triple Safety Double Notch Thread Post

Abstract: The present invention discloses an earring having thread and notch lock arrangement. The lock arrangement is carried out using a stem of the earing and a locking piece. The triple safety double notch thread post (1), comprising an extending stem (2) connected at a first end of an ornamental surface to an earring and having an opposed second end; wherein the stem (2) comprises a plurality of notches (3); a locking piece (4) comprising a body with a through-going opening (5) at a base disk for the passage therethrough of the second end of the post; and a plurality of guards (6) affixed to the base disk of the lock and configured to limit the extent of travel of the second end of the post beyond a first notch.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying figures.
The present invention finds direct application in the fashion industry, catering to individuals who wear earrings as a form of personal adornment. It offers a solution for those who desire a more secure earring locking mechanism, ensuring that their earrings remain in place even during active or vigorous movements.
The double notch thread post is suitable for a wide range of earring styles, including stud earrings, dangle earrings, shoulder duster. It can be utilized in various materials, such as gold, silver, platinum, or other metals, as well as in earrings featuring gemstones, pearls, or intricate designs.
The present invention discloses a triple safety double notch thread post. In one embodiment, the present invention discloses an earring having thread and notch lock arrangement. The lock arrangement is carried out using a stem (2) of Fig. 1 with the earing and a locking piece (4), wherein the stem (2) has one or more notch (3). Particularly, (3a and 3b) threads placed at a predefined distance with respect to each other, and the locking piece have locking threads (7), and complimentary locking structure to be onto the notch. The locking arrangement has two notches (3a and 3b), wherein the first notch helps in securing the locking piece to the earring stem and the second notch helps in securing the lock when the locking piece comprises counter threads counter to the threads (7) which complete goes over the threads (7) of the earring stem. The locking piece (4) comprising a body with a through-going opening (5) at a base disk for the passage therethrough of the second end of the post; and a plurality of guards (6) affixed to the base disk of the lock and configured to limit the extent of travel of the second end of the post beyond a first notch as depicted (8) in the figure 3. The opening in the base disk of the lock comprises a counter thread to lock the locking piece with the threads (7) of the earing stem (2). The notches (3a and 3b) on the stem (2) are shaped in different manner. The notches can have a slanting structure as shown in Fig. 1 (3a and 3b) or like a groove as shown in Fig. 2 (3a and 3b). The two notches are placed one after another, further followed by the threads on the earring steam notch is placed before the thread lock while making arranging the lock. The Figure 3 shows the butterfly lock before (04) and after locking (05).
Figure 4 illustrates a distance of the notches in the thread post. (A) illustrates a distance between the end of the ornamental surface screw threads (7). (B) illustrates a length of the screw threads (7). (C) illustrates the distance between an end of the threaded screw (7) and the opposed second end of the extending stem. The length (A) ranges from 2.5mm to 5mm, the length (B) ranges from 1.7mm to 4mm. The length (C) ranges from 3mm to 4mm.
Figure 5 illustrates distance (D) between the first notch (3a) and the second notch (3b) and the range of the distance is 1.5mm to 2mm.
Figure 6 illustrates two different types of locking systems i.e., threaded locking system and pushback locking system.
,CLAIMS:1. A triple safety double notch thread post (1), comprising:
an extending stem (2) connected at a first end of an ornamental surface to an earring and having an opposed second end; wherein the stem (2) comprises a plurality of notches (3a and 3b);

a locking piece (4) comprising a body with a through-going opening (5) at a base disk for the passage therethrough of the second end of the post; and
a plurality of guards (6) affixed to the base disk of the lock and configured to limit the extent of travel of the second end of the post beyond a first notch.

2. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 1, wherein the guards have a C, U or semi spiral shape.

3. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 2, wherein the ā€œCā€, ā€œUā€ or semi spiral shaped guards have a central enlarged portion to meet the second end of the post.

4. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second end of the post has a needle end.

5. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 1, wherein the guard is cast with the body of the safety clasp.

6. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 1, wherein the stem has at least one groove formed therein to receive a locking element of the safety clasp.

7. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 7, wherein the safety clasp has at least one push-in button configured to release a holding force exerted by the safety clasp on the post.
8. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 1, wherein the two notches of the plurality of the notches are placed one after another, followed by threads (7) on the stem.
9. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 1,wherein the through-going opening (5) at a base disk comprises counter thread counter to the threads (7) on the stem (2) or a push back locking system.
10. The triple safety double notch thread post as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first notch helps in securing the locking piece to the earring stem and the second notch helps in securing the lock when the threads of the locking piece complete goes over the threads of the earring stem.
