Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ANTI-THEFT HELMET HOOK ROD FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES The present invention relates to an anti-theft helmet hook device for two-wheeler vehicle. The anti-theft helmet hook device comprises of a rider seat (102), a hinge (104) attached to a chassis (100) of the vehicle and below the rider seat (102) and a rod (106) attached on the chassis (100) such that a helmet strap wrapped and fasten around the rod (106) to ensure locking of the helmet with the vehicle. The rider seat (102) is required to open while hanging the helmet to the rod (106), preventing the damage of the rod (106) due to external arrangement, thereby enhancing the shelf-life of the rod (106). The rod (106) is only visible when the rider seat (102) is open apart from this it is under the rider seat (102) and not easily accessible. The present invention provides the cost effective locking mechanism preventing unauthorized removal of the helmet. Figure 2
DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to an anti-theft hook provided for electric vehicle. Particularly, the present invention relates to an anti-theft helmet strap locking device for L1 category vehicles that provides safety and security to a helmet.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Two-wheeler vehicles including motorcycles and scooters are considered to be one of the widely used mode of transportation. The two wheeler helmet, a crucial safety accessory for riders serves the paramount purpose of safeguarding the rider’s head during impacts, thereby mitigating potential damage and preserving lives. Despite its vital role, the larger size of helmets poses challenges for riders due to which sometimes riders opt not to wear helmets or avoid taking a two wheeler due to the inconvenience of carrying an extra load.
[003] Traditionally, hooks have been integrated into a shell of the two wheeler vehicles to facilitate hanging of helmets and other small items. There are several patent applications that discloses a provision for holding mobile devices in motor vehicles.
[004] One such Chinese Patent Application CN1880150A discloses a pedal type motorcycle hook mechanism comprises a hook mounting plate detachably fixed to the front side wall of the helmet box, a center cover covers on the front side wall of the helmet box, a through hole provided at the position corresponding to the mounting plate on the center cover, and a hook passed through the hole and affixed to the mounting plate. However, the cited document lacks advanced security features to prevent theft effectively as the hook remains exposed and accessible, which causes a big risk of unauthorized removal or tampering of helmet.
[005] Therefore, in view of the challenges associated with the above state of art, there is a need for a more efficient, theft-proof of helmet and user friendly hook rod provided on a two wheeler.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION
[006] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide anti-theft helmet hook rod for electric vehicles.
[007] Another objective of the present invention is to reduce load of a rider while rider is not riding the vehicle so that the rider may hang the helmet to a rod of the vehicle.
[008] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a low cost hook for a two wheeler vehicle.
[009] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a locking mechanism by mounting a hook rod below to a rider seat of the vehicle.
[010] Yet another objective of the present invention is to prevent the helmet from being stolen.
[011] Other objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein, by way of illustration and example, the aspects of the present invention are disclosed.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[012] The present invention relates to an anti-theft hook device for electric vehicle. The present invention relates to a helmet hook locking device for L1 category vehicles that provides safety and security to a helmet. The present invention relates to an anti-theft hook device comprises of a rider seat, a hinge attached to a chassis of the vehicle and below the rider seat and a hook rod attached on the chassis such that a helmet strap wrapped and fasten around the rod to ensure locking of the helmet with the vehicle. The rider seat is required to be opened while hanging the helmet to the rod, preventing the damage of the rod due to external arrangement, thereby enhancing the shelf-life of the hook rod.

[018] Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope of invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.
[019] Features that are described and/or illustrated with respect to one embodiment may be used in the same way or in a similar way in one or more other embodiments and/or in combination with or instead of the features of the other embodiments.
[020] The terms and words used in the following description are not limited to the bibliographical meanings, but, are merely used to enable a clear and consistent understanding of the invention. Accordingly, it should be apparent to those skilled in the art that the following description of exemplary embodiments of the present invention are provided for illustrative purpose only and not for the purpose of limiting the invention.
[021] It is to be understood that the singular forms “a”, “an” and “the” include plural referents unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
[022] It should be emphasized that the term “comprises/comprising” when used in this specification is taken to specify the presence of stated features, steps or components but does not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, steps, components or groups thereof.
[023] The present invention relates to an anti-theft hook device for electric vehicle. Particularly, the present invention relates to a helmet hook locking device for L1 category vehicles that provides safety and security to a helmet.
[024] The present invention comprises of a rider seat (102), a hinge (104) attached to a chassis (100) of the vehicle and below the rider seat (102) and a hook rod (106) attached on the chassis (100) such that a helmet strap wrapped and fasten around the rod (106) to ensure locking of the helmet with the vehicle.
[025] In an embodiment, as shown in combination of figures 1a and 1b, the hook rod (106) is connected to the chassis (100) of the vehicle, below the rider seat (102) providing sleek appearance. The rider simply needs to hook the helmet strap around the hook rod (106) and lock the seat (102) to secure the helmet with the vehicle. In an exemplary embodiment, the hook rod (106) is made up of robust material selected from the group of, such as, but not limited to steel, aluminum, plastic and composite materials.
[026] The hook rod (106) is attached to the chassis of the vehicle. The hook rod (106) is only visible when a seat is open apart from that it is under the seat and not easily accessible. The locking mechanism through the present invention prevents unauthorized removal of the helmet. The helmet strap is secured on two wheeler in a manner that allow opening of seat to access the hook rod (106).
[027] In an embodiment, Figure 2 illustrates the position of the rider seat (102) and the hook rod (106) of the vehicle. The hook rod (106) is connected below the rider seat (102) providing the space to hang the helmet. The rider seat (102) is required to open while hanging the helmet to the hook rod (106), preventing the damage due to external arrangement, thereby enhancing the shelf-life of the hook rod (106).
[028] In an exemplary embodiment, rider has to hook the helmet strap around the small hook rod (106) and lock the rider seat (102) to complete the helmet locking operation. The rear helmet hook may also be used for the purpose of hanging other household articles with the help of carry bags.
[029] In an exemplary embodiment, the helmet may be such as, but not limited to, dual-sport helmet, full face helmet and modular helmet.
