Protective Shield For Suspension System Of A Two Wheeled Vehicle

Abstract: The present invention relates to a protective shield for suspension system of a two wheeler. The protective shield for suspension system of a two wheeler, comprises a suspension arrangement (101) to provide shock absorption and stability to the front wheel (101). A suspension tower (102) ensuring structural rigidity during vehicle operation and a front suspension cover to protect the components of the suspension arrangement (101).The front suspension cover, having a first front suspension cover (100) and a second suspension cover (103), of suspension system of the two wheeler, is made up of thermoplastic polymer material that is light weight and durable thus increasing the longevity of the cover. The protective shield for suspension system of a two wheeler being rigid in nature helps in maintaining a consistent operating temperature inside the cover and prevents any exposure to water and moisture, which protects the suspension arrangement from corrosion. DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a protective shield for suspension system of a two wheeled vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to a suspension cover of the front suspension arrangement of a two wheeler for protecting the suspension arrangement and avoid any damage to the suspension due to collisions of foreign objects or mud and sand.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] In modern time, there has been a continuous effort to enhance rider comfort and safety by improving the design and functionality of bike suspensions. Traditional bike suspensions are often exposed to various external elements which can significantly affect the performance and lifespan.

[003] The front suspension is generally covered with a sleeve dust covers. It protects the components of the front suspension and also contributes in enhancing aerodynamics and overall aesthetics of a vehicle. Front suspension covers are generally made from lightweight materials such as fiber and plastic which gets deterred with time. Further, the fault/ crack in the suspension covers may lead to exposure of suspensions with the external elements, which may affect the performance of the suspensions.

[004] A patent application CN103842697B entitled ” Protective front suspension structure of electric three-wheeled passenger vehicle” discloses about a protective front suspension structure of an electric three wheeled passenger vehicle, which relates to an axle mounting structure and is characterized in that the protective front suspension structure comprises a front fork vertical pipe and a front fork assembly. Further, the utility model discloses a suspension structure before protection type of electronic tricycle passenger car through setting up shield and lower oil blanket, has solved in impurity such as silt, muddy water and dust invades the bearing in the front fork riser, has improved the life of bearing, improves product quality and use reliability. However, the invention does not mention about the type or durability of the material used in making protective front suspension structure.

[005] Therefore, keeping in view the problem associated with the state of the art there is a need for an improved front suspension cover. This front suspension cover is essential for the longevity and performance of the suspension system.

OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION

[006] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a protective shield for suspension system of a two wheeled vehicle.

[007] Another objective of the present invention is to protect suspension arrangement of a two wheeler vehicle from dust and scratches.

[008] Yet another objective of the present invention is to protect the suspension arrangement of a two wheeler from water and outer atmosphere.

[009] Another objective of the present invention is to increase impact resistance and protect the sensitive suspension system from damage in the rough road conditions or an event of collision.

[010] Still another objective of the present invention is to provide better serviceability and reduce maintenance cost of a vehicle.

[011] Another objective of the present invention is to increase life span of suspension arrangement.

[012] Other objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein, by way of illustration and example, the aspects of the present invention are disclosed.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[013] The present invention relates to a front suspension cover of a two wheeled vehicle, which provides a protection to a suspension arrangement. These covers are made up of poly-propylene material, which is a kind of thermoplastic. This material helps to construct a lighter weight covers with sufficient strength. Present invention provides a front suspension body structure of a vehicle, wherein the suspension housing has a fixed portion. These covers contributes and enhance the styling of vehicle along with helps in protection of suspension arrangement from dust and scratches. These covers can be of any shape and size according to the requirements of a vehicle and they also protects a suspension arrangement from corrosion and external damages.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[017] The following description describes various features and functions of the disclosed system with reference to the accompanying figures. In the figures, similar symbols identify similar components, unless context dictates otherwise. The illustrative aspects described herein are not meant to be limiting. It may be readily understood that certain aspects of the disclosed system can be arranged and combined in a wide variety of different configurations, all of which have not been contemplated herein.

[018] Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope of invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.

[022] It should be emphasized that the term “comprises/comprising” when used in this specification is taken to specify the presence of stated features, steps or components but does not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, steps, components or groups thereof.

[023] The present invention relates to a protective shield for suspension system of a two wheeled vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to a suspension cover of the front suspension arrangement of a two wheeler for protecting the suspension arrangement and avoid any damage to the suspension due to collisions of foreign objects or mud and sand.

[024] The protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler, comprising a suspension arrangement (101), a suspension tower (102) and a front suspension cover, having a first front suspension cover (100) and a second suspension cover (103).

[025] Further, the suspension arrangement (101) having a first end and second end, coupled to the front wheel of a two wheeler, having a plurality of components, configured to provide shock absorption and stability to the front wheel. Further, the suspension tower (102) coupled to the suspension arrangement, providing mounting points for the suspension cover and ensuring structural rigidity during vehicle operation.

[026] Further, front suspension cover coupled to the suspension tower and covering the suspension arrangement to protect the components of the suspension arrangement. Further, the front suspension cover of the present invention is made up of poly-propylene material, which is a thermoplastic polymer that is durable and light weight minimizing the weight on the front wheel while offering adequate protection.

[027] The protective shield for suspension system of a two wheeler of the present invention, as shown in Figure 1. Further, the protective shield having the front suspension cover made up of poly- propylene material which is a thermoplastic polymer. The said cover is utilized to provide protection to the suspension arrangement. The front suspension cover offers a protection to an outer peripheral wall of suspension arrangement (101) including suspension towers (102) as shown in Figure 2.

[028] The front suspension cover of the suspension system of a two wheeler vehicle may be of any shape, i.e. cylindrical or square that fits over the suspension arrangement (101) to provide an additional layer of defense against external element.

[029] In a preferred embodiment, the front suspension cover of a two wheeler is a protective component that encases the front suspension system and safeguard it from external elements. This cover is configured to shield the critical suspension components such as suspension tower (102) and springs from dirt, moisture and road debris. The front suspension cover of the present invention fulfills both functional and aesthetic purposes and contributes to overall appearance of a two-wheeler vehicle. Additionally, the front suspension cover mentioned in the present invention plays an important role in reducing drag and providing safety to a vehicle from any kind of scratches.

[030] In another embodiment, the material used to build the front suspension cover (103) is lighter in weight as compare to other parts of a vehicle and provide strength to front part of the vehicle.

[031] In yet another embodiment, the front suspension cover helps in maintaining a consistent operating temperature by preventing exposure to water and moisture, thereby protecting the suspension arrangement from corrosion.

[032] The front suspension cover of a two wheeler not only serves a practical purpose but also enhance the vehicle aesthetic appearance. Aesthetic design of the front suspension cover plays a pivotal role in overall look of the vehicle and elevate its visual appeal. The front suspension cover comes in one or more shapes and finishes, allowing riders to personalize their two-wheeler, creating a distinct and stylish appearance.

[033] The modified suspension cover designed with polymer material increases the longevity of the cover, thereby increasing the life span of the front suspension arrangement (101) of a vehicle.

[034] The front suspension cover is configured with a rigid material, such that there remains some space between the suspension tower (102) and front suspension cover , which allow a suspension arrangement (101) to work properly without any hindrance.

[035] While the present invention has been described with reference to one or more preferred aspects, which also have been set forth in considerable detail for the purposes of making a disclosure of the invention, such aspects are merely exemplary and are not intended to be limiting or represent an exhaustive enumeration of all aspects of the invention.
,CLAIMS:1. A protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler (100), comprising:

(a) a suspension arrangement (101) having a first end and second end, coupled to the front wheel of a two wheeler, having a plurality of components, configured to provide shock absorption and stability to the front wheel;
(b) a suspension tower (102) coupled to the suspension arrangement, providing mounting points for the suspension cover and ensuring structural rigidity during vehicle operation; and
(c) a front suspension cover, having a first front suspension cover (100) and a second suspension cover (103), coupled to the suspension tower and covering the suspension arrangement to protect the components of the suspension arrangement;
Wherein,
the front suspension cover of the present invention is made up of poly-propylene material, which is a thermoplastic polymer that is durable and light weight minimizing the weight on the front wheel while offering adequate protection.

The protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of components selected from a group of shock absorber responsible for absorbing impacts and overcome the irregularities of the terrain playing an important role in the stability and control of the motorcycle.

The protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler for a two wheeler vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front suspension cover can be of any shape, i.e. cylindrical or square that fits over the suspension arrangement (101) to provide an additional layer of defense against external element.

The protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler for a two wheeler vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front suspension cover helps in maintaining a consistent operating temperature by preventing exposure to water and moisture, thereby protecting the suspension arrangement from corrosion.

5. The protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler for a two wheeler vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front suspension cover comes in various shapes and finishes, allowing riders to personalize their two-wheeler, creating a distinct and stylish appearance.

The protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler for a two wheeler vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front suspension cover is designed with a polymer that increases the longevity of the cover, thereby increasing the life span of the front suspension arrangement (101) of a vehicle.

The protective shield for suspension system of the two wheeler for a two wheeler vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front suspension cover is made of a rigid material, such that there remains some space between the suspension tower (102) and suspension cover, which allow the suspension arrangement (101) to work properly without any hindrance.
